  • Quick question about R-Motion

I've an Optishot and i've had a lot of fun with it.
But Im not playing it anymore... cause of short game.

How works r-motion? chipping - piching - putting and low distance in general are more accurate? (Optishot in short distance wasn't at all).
How about the conctact with the ball?
In Optishot if u top the ball, if u totally miss it or if u crash the mat ... doesnt matter, u still see the ball flight in the air.
    What about R-motion?

Sorry for my English, it's not my native language! :P

I had Optishot for awhile before moving to the R Motion. I’m surprised you singled out the short game, to me that was where Optishot could be the most accurate. If you didn’t like the short game in Optishot I’m not sure you’d be pleased with R Motion either.

Both measure club data only so smash factor (impact) is estimated. That means if you top it or even shank it, it probably will still read as a center face hit. That’s just what you get with club data only.

To me, R Motion is far more consistently accurate than Optishot, and I mean far more. It’s less hassle as far as lighting and club taping go, but you still have to move the sensor and have clips if you prefer using all your clubs.

TGC is a great software and you have the ability to play on the online tour here (with full TGC license).

Definitly read and understand what you get with the base package of R Motion prior to buying so you aren’t dissapointed. Some folks were dissapointed in the base 15 course package and the amount of clips. Highly recommend the $500 upgrade to full TGC with a free upgrade to TGC 2019 when it comes out. TGC 2019 looks outstanding.

    Good luck.

At 1st ty for your answer.

But let me understand... the sensor is just one and u switch btw all your clubs?
(I would buy the combo package with 14 attachment... ).
      Seems a bit tricky....
      How do u do?
And Is it easy and fast?

And what do u think, it's a waste of money to buy r-motion while ive already have the optishot?
A "more of the same" or is it a good improvement?

Yes, there is only one sensor. You rotate the sensor between clubs (that you have clips for). Not a hassle at all. Very easy and quick.

In my opinion, R Motion is far more useful than Optishot as it is more accurate. I’m not sure what you want out of your simulator software so it’s hard to say if it’s worth it for you. You can read through some of the older threads. Most everyone who switched from Optishot to R Motion could not be happier. Customer service is also top notch.

        I would highly recommend it.
