  • R Motion Uprgrade to TGC 2019

Rapsodo I am under the impression based on comments from Pro Tee that a TGC 2019 upgrade may not be in the plans for R Motion. This would be extremely disappointing to watch all of the other SIMs transition to TGC 2019 while we are stuck with TGC 1. Can you please shed some light in this?

Just when I was ready to spend the $500 to upgrade to the full TGC version. Guess, I may need to wait and see.

Rapsodo It would be very dissapointing for us who Have spent the $500 If you let us sit with a license Thats pretty useless after TGC2019 is released. All other platforms/Players using TGC1 Will move to TGC2019 so I assume TGC1 Will die totally When theres only the few R-motion Players left
If you are Looking for a upgrade path I really would like to see someway you work with skygolf (Skytrak) as I’ve just upgraded to one. I still want to keep the R-motion cus I do still believe that R-motion+Skytrak is the best and most powerful combo!

I think I speak for all of us who signed up for this and The fact that you (Rapsodo) offered TGC1 with your product made it possible for enthousiast golfers to keep swinging off season for a reasonable price with one of the best golf simulator experience available. I hope you Will take care of your loyal customers.

I honestly do not even know what there is to look into. From a business standpoint, assuredly you are going to sell new versions of the R Motion with TGC2019 courses (once the SIM version is out). If not then that is a failure and will lead to decreased sales for sure. Nobody wants to play on outdated SIM software and there are other low budget options.

So, if the decision is to move all new R Motion packages to TGC2019, that leaves everyone who has already purchased an R Motion with TGC1. If someone is still using the standard package with the 15 courses then fine, that is on them and they can play offline with no server support with no issues. But for someone like me who purchased a lifetime license for $500, I am now reliant on HB to maintain server support (or at least keep them running) in order to play all of the course offered online. In addition, I will be playing on outdated SIM software no other SIM user is using as Pro Tee is upgrading their customers to TGC2019 for free.

So I really hope you can see the dilemma here. If the decision is to not even go forward with TGC2019 and remain selling versions will TGC1 course, I am left SMH. If the decision is to upgrade to TGC2019 for future R Motion versions but not bring those who purchased full license versions to TGC2019, I am not only SMH but I am furious. I know it is a minute threat as I am a single user but you would never have my business again.

You guys have been tremendous to work with from a customer service standpoint and I know it is tough to "publicly" confirm something but can you please provide a bit more of an explanation around "we are looking into it" Does that mean that currently you are not looking at moving the Rmotion Platform to TGC2019? As you can imagine that would be upsetting since we would have paid a "lifetime" license for less than 2 years. I personally purchased the license less than a year ago and it sounds like we might only have another 6-7 month window until the only people using TGC 1 are R- Motion users. If this is the case would there even be an online version as i believe Protee hosts the servers and would move everyone to TGC2019? If you could provide some form of explanation of your current thoughts (with the understanding nothing is binding) it would at least provide some clarity to your direction. I understand what we are asking for is tricky but transparency where possible always goes a long way in these types of situations.

This would be news to me...as I remember reading from official sources on this subject here on the forums that we would be indeed getting the upgrade to 2019 free of charge. If this didn't happen there would be some very unhappy users for sure. I'll need to go look for that post, it's been referenced many times over the last year for sure....

At this moment we do not have access to TGC2019 simulation version. When it becomes available we will evaluate and see how we can enable this to our customers. There is no timeline and no clarity of the technical feasibility. Please stay tuned and we will keep you posted as things develop.

As always, we will continue to do our best to provide exceptional value to our customers.

Rapsodo Thanks for the update. It is kind of difficult to integrate R-Motion with TGC2019 if you don't have the software to work with.

I did go ahead and purchase the full TGC and have begun participating in the online tournaments. I'm hopeful this will all work out and we won't get left behind when Protee moves on to TGC2019.
