I have had Rmotion for a few weeks now. I am an avid golfer and wanted an entry level device to get into simulators. Thing crashes non stop. I can maybe get one hole in beforenit crashes. Its incredibly inaccurate. Im a big hitter and for example hit a 9 iron 155-160, little longer if i go after it. I put the sensor on as described and measure as described and the ball goes 110. I feel the ball flight is accurate as i can hit draws, fades on command or if I mishit, it goes the direction i felt was the mishit. Im about to give up and start saving for a skytrak.

You can "lie" on the settings. You can play with the length until you get results more in line to what your normal distances are. It may also be that you just aren't used to swinging indoors yet but 40 to 50 yards difference seems extreme. I've calibrated mine by hitting many shots and adjusting the length until I got what is pretty accurate distance for me. Also, I have my sensor slid all the way up the shaft right below my grip.

Be sure to change the loft as well. Some of the newer sets from the Big OEM companies tweak the loft of the clubs so you’ll hit longer, or at least you hit as far as your swingspeed and dynamic loft allows.
I had a couple of irons that were of by a couple of degrees from R-motion standard.

I use a Predator laptop with a 1060 card. I've not had a crash in tons of rounds. For the distances as mentioned I'd say adjust the distances to FAKE the RMotion Algorithms to be more accurate for you. I did this for some of my clubs but within a threshold for tournament play.
Also remember all the RMotion knows is your initial setup and how you return to the ball. So if you say setup with a pressed forward club and then return with more loft..you will get a very big difference in what loft your moment of impact is.
I'll say that once you dial in the sensor distances, get it aligned RMotion is as accurate as anything else I've seen for sub $400. I'm a scratch golfer (nearly
) and I've not had any issues with playing on the sim and it affecting my real game. If anything it's improved a slight over the top I use to have...because RMotion would penalize my swing for that move more than in real life. lol.
