  • Shaft Lean of club reading is great!!

I was practing on the app connected to my Apple TV on projector tonight testing loft of the club.

    Here’s I found:

It actually directly reads your club shaft lean no matter if you change it at impact or start with it.
For instance if you start with a forward shaft lean of 10 degrees and hit with the same lean it will be 10 degrees less!
Or if you start with a forward shaft lean at address and at impact it changes to the normal lean it will display it correctly.

golfun2 I have re-read your post multiple times now and am still not getting it. So are you saying it is picking up the correct shaft lean at impact? "start with a forward shaft lean of 10 degrees and hit with the same lean it will be 10 degrees less!" is the part that's getting me... I am about to make my purchase for R-Motion and this is awesome to hear if it is working correctly but not so good if it is not picking it up correctly.

      It’s working very well.

I thought I read that if you start with a forward shaft lean of say 5 degrees on a 56 degree club, and upon impact you maintained the forward 5 degree lean, it would not read it as any less loft. It would read it as the 56 degrees of the club itself instead of 51 at impact.
I thought that someone said when you start your shot the software zeros out your initial starting loft to neutral or whatever the degree of the club is.
It actually from my testing reads the dynamic de-lofting of the club like it should.
Hope that’s a little more clear this time. Thanks

Yes it is! Thank you for the clarification as this was one of the main things I was hoping for seeing how I am working on impact position and getting the shaft lean to be de-lofted compared to adding loft... most excellent can't wait to get mine.. trying to hold out till next Friday and hopefully catch it on sale!

I can't believe how accurate it is. I was hitting knockdown draws out of the woods in The Golf Club game and it was reading it perfectly. It's soo cool when when you see on screen is exactly what you felt like you just did.

sorry for this question guys but I've been following your thread... Is r-motion an attachment or an actual simulator? In other words I'm preparing to purchase a GC2 simulator and I'm curious if this would be a possible add-on for that system or is this a stand alone system?

Separate pieces that are standalone. I have both. You can connect the rmotion to an iphone or android phone and see club results there and then see gc2 ball results.
