  • R-Motion tracker and clip versions?

    Hi All,

I've tried searching the forum, but haven't found an answer to these questions.

Are there different hardware versions of the R-motion tracker itself?

I understand that there are multiple versions of the clips. How can I tell the versions apart?

Does anyone have pictures of the different clips?

I've just started researching a simulator, and this forum seems to be frequented by knowledgeable, helpful folks.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello. I will try to give you a summary. From hardware perspective there is absolutely no difference between first product we ever built and today. They all come at same accuracy level.

The tracker mechanical structure strengtened twice over the last 16 months. The clips are completely changed based on the feedback from customers. We no longer produce the old clips and new clips are easy to put on and off and durable.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Rapsodo, Would you have a rough idea of when you expect to have the R motion clips for sale again? I am finding I will definitely need them and severely limited with just one clip. Thanks

Rapsodo has completely dropped R Motion so you can't get it or anything for it. Never buy any of their products again.

    Thanks for the response.

I have an opportunity to pick up a used r motion set, how can I be sure they're the new clips?

Can you share some pics of the different clip iterations?

You would have to buy a new one for the new clips. Mine originally didn’t have them. And for only $200 that’s chicken feed for golf simulator equipment. Plus they are finicky I wouldn’t take a chance, just my opinion.

        thanks for the reply.

okay, i think i will just purchase new.

can someone confirm that these are the new clips? I want to make sure i don't receive the previous versions of clips from old stock.

        thanks!

jc523 I purchased mine in December and your picture is the clip that was sent with mine. It broke on about the 6th swing hitting real balls and they sent me some replacement clips which I think are the old clips as they look just like the ones in the instructions and I prefer the ones they sent me WAY better than the one that came with it. The old ones are already snug by the time you get them up to the shaft so you can just slightly finger tighten them and they hold in place much better IMO.

Your clips are the old ones, they hold up ok but you will break a few from time to time. The new clips have a rotary style clasp that seems to hold the vibration of the club better.
