We just purchased our first R-Motion. Having big problems keeping it working. Can't seem to get past the first few holes before it no longer registers a swing. Rebooted, reinstalled, moved computer closer, reset, turned off other bluetooth in the area, but still no swing. Rapsodo customer service has been no help. any thoughts would be appreciated. Anyone ever have a bad sensor ? Should we just send it back? Thanks in advance

Could be a bunch of things, is it turning blue after you hit, red etc? If it goes red then usually its the distance between you and the dongle try walking closer to the computer between shots. If it stays blue its because you have windows defender on, you need to go to your settings and turn of real time. Lastly, check task manager, often there will be 2 or 3 versions of the software on the go so it gets confused. Only single tap the r motion icon and wait until you get the tick for the dongle i then wake up my sensor after that and start the TGC program. You might get a bad sensor but usually what happens is it wont hold a charge out of the charging station etc. If its charged its usually one of the above problems.

I am in the same boat, seems to work great for 6 holes then starts reading weird shots with 9* driver having 35-40* launch angles and stuff. I have been trying some other things and recently when it starts acting weird or not reading shots I just set it down and walk away for 5-10 minutes and when I come back for whatever reason it and I seemed to have calmed down and works for a few more holes. I also quit charging the sensor after using it and just check the battery level in the R-Motion app.
Just contact Rapsodo and let them know your issue. They are still looking into my issue so I am waiting on hearing back from them.

So I just went out and played 13 holes without a glitch and the sensor battery only had one bar when I started. This was without a doubt one of the best "sessions" with it so far, it picked up every shot and no weird launch angles or such. Maybe something with it getting overcharged? The sensor went dead so I am charging it now and will "test" it again with full charge. Hopefully this was the issue as it was 38* outside tonight and about 45* in the garage.

Thank you for the replies. The sensor is green, and i have tried walking closer, moving closer, full charge, etc. i will give the one tap thing a try and see if that works. i will check task manager for two r motion or tgc actions. Will also warm the room up before i try again. Just seems strange it works for a few swings then just quits.
Thanks Again for the input.

Well, we deleted both software, reinstalled software, raised the temperature, moved the computer closer, booted up the system, put the dongle in when asked, watched the sensor light go blue then green. Nothing.... rebooted,,,,, nothing,,, called Rapsodo Again,,, nothing. I'm not a great computer guy but guessing its a software/virus software issue. With the lack of support by Rapsodo, i think we will just return it and move on to something a little better.
Appreciate the help thus far

kb1 I hate to hear your not getting any help. I was having serious issues with getting weird readings with launch angles and no-reads at first too. R-Motion and Rapsodo were looking into it. I felt something was up with my sensor too but after testing with it a bunch this last month, I found that it is starting to work as expected. As I mentioned above I stopped charging it and it seemed to "work" better and it finally died last night so I let it charge back up to full bars and just played about 30 minutes on the practice range and then 9 holes and did not have any of my previous issues.
I am not saying this will fix your issue but maybe you can connect your sensor to the R-Motion software and allow the sensor to run out of charge completely and then charge it back up. This seems to have helped resolve whatever was causing my to be all funky previously.
At the price point for what you get for this I doubt you will find anything better to move on to!
Hope you get some resolution to your issue!

Thank you for the input Burtgolf. I just gave up on Rapsodo, it was a joke. That said from the replies on this forum, we did get it working better, but not great. Different computer, moved it closer, heated the garage, tapped the sensor on every hit. But, still misses quite a few swings. That said, i am getting a lot of practice trying to get the thing to work ... lol. I will let the charge go down and see if that helps. Will post back when i give it another try.
