Sent R Motion support this question
    "
Gentlemen, Don't mean to be a pest but is there any status on R Motion upgrade to TGC 2019? I really like R Motion great sim find it to be very accurate and with tweaking clubs the distances are good. It would be outstanding if upgraded to TGC 2019. Thanks

Just received this response R Motion support.
"Hello, Thanks for reaching out to us! Unfortunately, there is no news from the developers at the moment. "
Which means they aren't working on it anymore bummer.

I really believe the company is moving away from any plans on updating the R-Motion or making it better. They are trying to integrate it with Skytrak and getting everyone to get a full subscription to TGC to get the swing data that Skytrak does not give. I don't think the path and club face angle are very accurate with R-Motion so I don't think it is worth it (that is just my opinion). They have cut the price in half (now only $99) so i cant imagine they are going to be changing or improving the R-Motion in anyway.

Agree with you on there will be no updates coming. But compared to other low cost Sims it is heads above them for accuracy and graphics. I own both optishot and R Motion. The only negative is lack of multiple tees and ability to set green speeds. Other than that I find that after tweaking the loft and length of the clubs it is very close to actual.

I am not convinced on the accuracy of the R-Motion. If it was so accurate, why would they drop the price %50? Even with all its faults, I think the Optishot is more accurate. I posted a video on YouTube about why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVjmZHYjTiI&t=4s. Optishot has really helped me change my swing. Just my experience.

They dropped the price because they are moving on to the new product. In my opinion Optishot is a game fun to play but that's about all it's worth. Since I bought R Motion I have never use Optishot. Optishot did nothing for my swing where as R Motion has really help me. Just my experience. This is my opinion of course different things for different people.

Got to agree I think there is little hope of seeing a 2019 update, its not the delay that bothers me but the way there are never any updates on progress. I cannot belive that a large company
has developers working on this with no idea what is happening or when it may happen.

If no TGC 2019 update will there be a better deal to upgrade to the full older version of TGC, a better price may help people stay with the product before moving on.

I agree a fair price for the old outdated full version TGC would help. The current price of $499 is outrageous for an out of date product.

Totally agree about the TGC. Price should drop if they are dropping the price of the system used on it.

I recently asked them about a discounted price and felt like I jerked around a bit. They sent me to the developers of TGC and they sent me back to Rapsodo who said they can’t alter the price. Unfortunately I think I’m giving up on r motion and switching to skytrak or mevo+...

Really past waiting for the upgrade, think i'll call it a Day & move to Skytrak in the Winter.

Its a real shame as this product had so much to offer for the price, would of been a top seller with 2019 as an option

I agree with TGC 2019 I would have been the best of the sims below $1000. I can't justify the cost of Skytac, It 's great but pushing $3000 with full version of TGC 2019 is a bit much. I guess It's just me but selling TGC for half price vs letting it set and collect dusk isn't a good marketing decision.

Agree...I wish Skytrak did not charge yearly for TGC and the Game Improvement as it makes it a difficult upgrade.

Got an advertising mail from Rapsodo for "SuperSpeed + Rapsodo MLM for Immediate Swing Feedback" and used the chance to reply and ask the support for the future of R-Motion and TGC 2019:

Question: "What's the current state about R-Motion and The Golf Club 2019?"
Support answer: "We do not have any updates right now on TGC 2019. Our development team currently is putting there focus on the Mobile Launch Monitor product updates before we revisit the TGC 2019 integration."
Q: "Is there any time plan for the integration of TGC 2019?"
A: "Yes we are still planning on developing the integration for TGC 2019! Brian D."

      I'd love to believe that...

All R Motion customers would love to see this happen. Until then I would advise anyone not to buy Rapsodo products because they may drop support when the next new thing comes out. BTW 51 to 200 employees work there they can't assign 2 or 3 to work on developing the integration for TGC 2019. Tells me they aren't interested.

What are the big noticeable differences between TGC vs TGC 2019?

For me it's the course conditions. On TCG 2019 you can set wind, weather, green softness (big plus for putting), fairway softness, time of day. On TCG the green speed is super fast very difficult to putt. TCG 2019 softening the greens makes the putting more reasonable. Also the green softness helps stop the ball when hitting onto the green. Without it on TGC I can hit onto the very front on the green and with the speed of these greens the ball can roll 40-50 feet off the back of the green.

I can totally see R-motion license with TGC running out...maybe why they have lowered price. Question Nbar: Is the putting and chipping problems with TGC a game breaker in using R-Motion or is just a issue you work thru?
    Working...
