Playing rounds together between R-Motion and SkyTrak on TGC

Hi,

I am in Japan and have a SkyTrak setup at my home. I have several friends here in Japan who are also interested in Sim play but they don't have space for a full LM setup and cannot hit real golf balls. I have just come across the R-motion and it seems like it might be a good solution for us to play together as they can take full swings, but just can't hit golf balls.

My question is, is it easy to set up a round between myself on SkyTrak and someone else on R-motion? Also, I understand that R-motion does not yet supporting TGC 2019. Is there any expectation that that support will be available or have we pretty much given up on that? I have both TGC and TGC 2019 so I should be fine on my end (although I haven't actually ever used TGC).

As long as they buy the full version of TGC ($500 U.S.), I believe the online play is cross platform. Meaning they can play against you or in online tournaments no matter what device you have. I am not 100% positive but that is what was explained to me when I decided to buy the full version of TGC go with my R Motion

R Motion does not and will likely never support TGC 2019. There were discussions about this a year ago where it might have been coming but Rapsodo really doesn't market R Motion much anymore.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I can gather from the other discussions. To your knowledge, is R-Motion the only LM that accommodates play without balls?

R-motion is not a launch monitor (which is why you can use it without balls). But R-motion, Optishot and Phi-Golf are all in that category of being able to play without balls. There are likely some others I'm not thinking of.

R-Motion has to hit something (ball, tee, mat, etc.) to register a shot.

Thanks, and it seems that none of these are compatible with TGC 2019 and only R-Motion is compatible with TGC. Is that correct?
