  • Green speeds and firmness

Just played this weeks online tournament and I couldn’t get anything to stop on the greens. Spin levels were high but wedges were rolling 20 feet or more. In my settings file it says firmness set at 2 and speed set to 7. Does increasing firmness number make them harder or softer? And same for speed? I can imagine I’m at a soft green level at 2. They are all like pavement greens!

Same issue here, was not able to stop a single shot, even with my 58 lobwedge from 100 yard full swing where it spins around 9k - 10k. If I really get a lot of spin they stop a bit faster, but nothing compared to real golf, where they land and either stop at the same place or even spin a bit back. Never saw a ball spinning back on tgc2019, is that even possible?

Biggest problem with TGC version 1. Almost impossible to stop the ball on the green and changing it in the int file doesn't seem to help. If I hit anything over a 9 iron on the green it will run from the front off the back of the green. If they had upgraded to TGC 2019 (which will never happen they have dropped all support for R Motion) you can set the green speed and hardest makes it a lot more playable.

Where can I find the settings file to adjust the green firmness and speed? I only have the free TGC version that came with R-Motion.

I too would like to know where to find the settings file. I currently only have the free version and searching the folders I was only able to locate a config file that says its for 2019..
