  • Cannot get TGC to recognize swings

Default club settings, beefy computer, runs TGC and TGC 2019 seamlessly. R-motion sensor works with phone app and registers shots. using r-motion 1.3.4 using TGC 3.5 When i start R-Motion program it recognizes dongle and i get green check marks all the way. I have registered (free, not paid license) and I hit play...TGC starts up just fine and i am able to select a course, i step up to the tee and tap the sensor and it turns green. I wait 1-5 seconds with the club face square and then swing at a real ball but the game does not register a swing.

Do i need to start the TGCS app, is there something i am supposed to be doing with that? Could it be some mouse setting from my TGC 2019 installation causing a conflict?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks in advance!

R Motion only works with TGC from Rapsodo. If should downloaded it from Rapsodo. It's a strip down version meant to work with R Motion.

Yes, correct, i was not trying to use the tgc 2019 game to play with rapsodo, i just thought the newer programs install preferences might have have corrupted the older game's settings.

I've had other connection problems but never once I was in the game and selected a course. Try support but good luck they have all but dropped it and moved on to their new launch monitor. I would never buy another product from Rapsodo for fear they would move on to the next product and drop support.

Are you a lefty? If so, need to edit your golfer in TGC to be LH. Or check to see if it is set for LH and you are RH. If the golfer is set to the wrong side, it will not register any shots.

hi - make sure the R motion sensor is not inserted upside down - it will slide into the club attachment but will not register any swing - not that iv done anything as daft as that of course

When you say you have it set in the software, you mean you have it set that way in TGC, right? The R Motion software is separate from TGC with that setting. Just double check in TGC before you start a round that you go into edit golfer and change it there. I believe you click on new round, then hit edit golfer from there. Even if LH is selected, deselect and then reselect.

The sensor is inserted so that the 'R' is oriented correctly and the sleeve it sits in is oriented so that the sensor enters from the top. The phone portion works great, it is the interaction with tgc game that isn't working.

Did you confirm that you are set to lefty in TGC software? You have mentioned the phone app working but the phone app settings are completely separate from anything computer related. Even your club settings for length are not copied over to the R Motion PC software. You need to adjust the club lenghts in the R Motion software and make sure your golfer is set to lefty in the TGC game itself.

The TGC software worked once i fixed the left handed setting...for about 6 holes. It has not worked since. The Sensor seems like it does not stay connected. My computer is (yikes) 4 feet from my tee box but the sensor goes red whenever i step up to the tee and if i wait until it turns green it still does not register a shot. I am waiting the 1-3 seconds before swinging as well. Rapsodo sent me 2 replacement sensors, but the first did the exact same thing and i am waiting for the 2nd replacement to charge.

May be the Dongle not the Sensor ?
