In the R-motion faq they state that they no longer offer the upgrade to TGC full version. After talking to their support through email they suggested I talk with Protee. So, I have been talking with them and they will supply one for full cost but advise against it since the R-Motion is a dead product in their words. Which sucks because I just got mine a few months ago and after some tinkering I finally got it dialed in really close. And I have created my local course on the PC version of TGC and would like to play it on my sim. It's just frustrating. Since the hardware is dead, and you can't transfer the purchase of TGC Unlocked to a Skytrak account, why not offer at a discount rate or something for those of us who still use it?

The other option is to stick to the 15 courses supplied with RMotion unit, buy the TittleX play unit with 10 clips for $160 & get the full extended subscription
for E6Connect with 96 courses for $120 so $280 in total half the price for TGC upgrade.
I did this and really pleased with E6 Connect & the Tittle unit, + E6 Connect is the latest & gets updated. $120 for the upgrade is fantastic value.

I would have liked to have seen Protee do R-Motion users a solid on this and offer it at a big discount, they may get a few extra sales out of it. I can't see many people wanting to drop £500 now that it's discontinued.
Could also potentially lead to a few more players on the original TGC tour.

I just found out through them this morning that you can transfer the license later to another simulator like Mevo Plus at a cost of $295. Why not offer the R-Motion license key for the difference between the transfer fee and unlock fee then? That way we can enjoy the short life left with our product and have the option to transfer and not end up paying $700 plus on the original TGC but full cost of product after transfer fee. Seems the fair thing to do.

Contemplating what to do. I have the R-Motion and it has worked fine for me. Just the basic dozen plus courses.
Here comes winter again. Without having the ability to go to TGC19 I contacted Protee (thanks Jerry for giving me
the email via Youtube). They sent me a link for TGC-Original Full License Upgrade for R-Motion for 250 pounds. About $313 or so U.S.
Wanting a realistic golf sim situation with good graphics at the same time, would it make sense to purchase the TGC original or
should I be looking at something else?

Not sure really. I have mostly just been playing ghosts and with my buddies. The full library of courses is pretty damned amazing. I plan on upgrading my whole setup by next year to likely a skytrak or Mevo Plus. I'll just have to re-do like everything in my garage to be able to securely hit real balls first..

Jerry, I am with you. I hit into a net this year but purchased a projector, impact screen, and followed instructions from gunghogolf to build a screen enclosure. The idea was to get all this ready for a move into a new home which included the purchase of either a Skytrak or Mevo+.
The thought process was there. The money is there but...
Fail 1: The enclosure won't fit (height) into my current garage. I can't swing a driver in this garage. I am perfectly fine hitting into the Spornia net with my laptop.
Fail 2: We are still on the lookout for a new home... of course with my need of a taller garage or large shed I can hit into.
Win: Because of the above I bought badly needed new irons and a hybrid from Sub 70 Golf. The clubs are fantastic.Last edited by pauly99; 12-04-2020, 11:43 PM.

Tittle is a good, inexpensive option. It works well with real ball strikes and I played mine for years first with E6, and now E6 connect. It's an amazingly well-engineered sensor, great software, and a fantastic bargain in bang for the buck. Just an option to consider before dropping the bucks on stagnated software.Courses Created:

Just ordered TGC original. I realize I had other choices and thanks for mentioning Tittle. I knew Optishot was an option as well.
The goal is to get Skytrak, Mevo+ or whatever else may be out there when we make a move to a new to us home. In the meantime
this software along with the R-Motion will help to get me through the long and dreary winter.
I do see your name out there braycobb (Hero World Challenge) when looking at the tournaments available. Looks like I will get
used to playing a couple courses, qualify, and then join a tournament. My end goal is to be able to keep in golf shape through
the winter and work on the one... hundred.... change(s) I need to incorporate to improve my 16 or so handicap.
