New App update today. Much improved in my hands. E6 is actually playable now. How are folks finding this new update, good or bad?

New app and firmware update today.

We are committed to making the MLM2PRO™ App experience the best in golf. In this latest update we have a new app (2.4.4) and updated firmware available. The new app release provides a more stable connection for Direct and Local modes. The playing experience on Rapsodo Courses has also been updated to fix tree placements and layouts, improve gameplay stability, and provide a better overall experience.

The latest app update also includes improvements to the My Clubs feature.
    • Add clubs in bulk by model and type
    • Edit and delete clubs at any time

    Also new firmware update
    NEW FIRMWARE
In addition to the app release, new firmware (3.5.7) is now available. Multiple playing features have been fixed or enhanced including:
    • Updates and bug fixes related to the connection experience with the MLM2PRO App, Awesome Golf, and E6 CONNECT.
    • Improved chip shot algorithm to detect lower speed shots to enhance the simulation experience.
    • The LED indicator on the device has been changed to blink RED when the device is powering on. Once the device is ready to connect the LED will turn solid RED. It should take less than 10 seconds for the device to power on.
    • Improvement to the accuracy of the Side Carry calculation.
    • Improved club speed algorithm and high ball speed capture

If it has been a while since you updated your firmware, please check out the Updating Your Firmware explainer video that walks you through the step-by-step process.

Overall the connectivity, chipping and putting it much better. Kudos to Rapsodo for constantly improving this great product.

The connection issues have definitely improved. Spin numbers are now captured with the basic Range (non-sim). So far, it’s enough to keep my interest because of the accuracy. I’ve only been able to use my MLM2 once since the updates, but expect to hit quite a bit this weekend. The updates did not fix my Range syncing problems. Some sync and some don’t. Rapsodo has acknowledged the problem and says a fix is coming. Sim Range sessions sync, but don’t capture front facing video from phone/iPad.

In my one session after the update, the Sim Range would only allow the iPad to be oriented one way. The range would display upside down if oriented opposite of what it wanted, so it seemed to be ignoring the iPad’s screen orientation. Doesn’t seem like a big deal until you have the power source on the other side. And the Sim Range was displayed as hitting off of a cliff into some trees. Very strange. I’ll test today to see if these were just anomalies.

I’ve had my MLM2 for a couple of months and have used it extensively. I can live with the poorly designed app during the free 1st year, but there’s no way I’ll pay $200/year when it comes time for renewal. Even if all of the tech problems are eliminated, the app just can’t justify the fee. The Garmin and Skytrak apps are robust in comparison, even if you don’t subscribe. For $200/year, I expect some 3D target practice and display of all metrics, as well as club path data. Hopefully, Rapsodo will deliver.

I hit for about 2 hours and had zero connection issues. Started with the basic range, went to the sim range, to E6 practice area, and back to the basic range. So I’m pleased that Rapsodo seems to have figured out the connection issues. The sync issues may be ironing themselves out. Most of my sessions are now synced and I can see them on multiple devices. Today’s session from the sim range has synced properly, but the basic range session has not synced.

The screen orientation issue with the sim range still remains. Using an iPad, I have to rotate a specific direction, otherwise the screen is upside down. Unfortunately, I have to rotate away from my power source, putting a strain on the iPad power cord connection. It’s not a huge deal, but it shouldn’t be a deal at all.
