This product needs its own dedicated thread- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2d9-6tjsHw&t=4s
If they can get the accuracy sorted out then it might be a winner.

I'm holding off on getting one until I've seen some more reviews + someone creating a GSPro connector.

I am also holding off until accuracy checked out by someone. The fact it is showing angle of attack in club data is good. Having to pay for rounds is a novel way of having subscription under another name. Hopefully someone out there soon will come up with camera based one without any additional payments (only mevo + at moment). There is another one maybe coming out soon shown here also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAvhteVgLkY

We need more reviews of this unit. I don't like using the marked balls and the lack of 3rd software. We need testers @ reviews.

A seller in UK showing this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PVAzZIrh1A

They are saying in comments that they will be comparing it soon to a GC3. But as they are a seller and not independent it is not so good. Hopefully someone independent will soon compare. Video does give a bit more info on club data and sticker required.

I would love to try this out too. I don't like the spotted balls, but I understand why they have to have them. I love the "built in" software and don't mind the payment method.
I use a Garmin r10 now, but Home Tee Hero is so cartoony, it's kind of a buzz kill.

IMO any unit that sits on the side of the ball should never have to use marked balls. It's a PIA trust me I have had a Uneekor QED for years. The supplied balls always suck and if you want to use your own, you have to buy vinyl dots and put them on whatever ball you use.

It's a different price point to other LM. I've got one on order but direct from Korea where it is even cheaper to buy. I've also bought a box of 12 dotted balls with the order. Should be arriving mid October.
              I've got a mlm2pro and Mevo+ I can test against.
The probably with test against other optical LM is the IR strobe interference. The Square uses cheap global shutter cameras, with a long exposure and strobed IR.

Bubba22 I've sent you a PM on here.

Interesting GC2s are dropping in price with new LMs coming out.

Noticed this review: https://pluggedingolf.com/square-gol...onitor-review/ saying club data lack accuracy and often does not give data

                  Some more recent reviews:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeZ4g7nHiXY ---- from a seller I mention above, seems to be edited a lot so uncertain. Lacks a lot of tests also. Says will retest with radar based unit as club data could not be tested as dots on face for GC3 messing it up. A previous video mentioned club data was not working so uncertain if this is just a fault or it was effected by the dots. So missing club data and side spin and direction testing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTA4FU04qwE -- no comparison but use. Note I think in the early testing when using a driver the problem they had was that the ball rebounded of the screen and back into the placement ball zone and the unit thought they were setting up again.

Still have concerns about side spin and direction left or right

Spin axis and club data ( face angle and face contact) are the most difficult things to measure directly. We need testing on spin axis/total spin compared to other reliable units like VX/EYEXO or GC4/3. Until that is verified I would not recommend a mass purchase of the unit.

It's a bit disappointing that there are not more independent testers of the Square golf launch monitor. There is some info on Facebook but for a new, cheaper units the discussion and buzz is low.

I'm in CT and received mine yesterday from the UK. I have a Mevo Plus but bought it in order to do an independant review. Then, I will sell it or return it.

Haven't spent much time with it yet, but did set it up for a quick look-see. Only used the driving range so far, but a couple of quick observations:

It's fast! Data shows up instantly, as does the trace. And it's amazingly accurate. Find it a bit odd that a yacht is docked right next to the driving range, but no big deal. Would be cool for SG to update the app so a window will break when hit by one of my inevitable slices.

The data points include the horizontal launch angle, in degrees, but surprisingly not the lateral distance offline. A big miss that I'm almost certain will be added since it can be calculated easily. Putting a reflective tape on club shafts to improve club tracing data was brilliant. I expect othe manufacturers to follow suit.

Graphics are very good and the software works, but seems to be lacking polish and sophistication. Software is often the wink link in new systems, but almost always improved down the road.

A more comprehensive setup guide, and an introduction to the system would be much appreciated. Also a troubleshooting guide.

Biggest complaint is that it's an indoor only unit. This will be a deal killer for many golfers, as only a limited number have the space to hit indoors. Surely they fix this huge oversight in a future version, or by including safeguards in the system. I wonder if a neutral density filter could be used to enable outdoor use?

Overall, this is a great LM for the price even if the "No subcription fee" claim is a bit dubious, the fact that it's less than 50 cents for a round of golf is quite reasonable, especially since it's pay-as-you-go. The complaints could be a bit overblown, IMO. When you consider the MLM2P requires an annual subscription that's priced at around 50% of the hardware value.

However, the R10, Mevo, MLM2P and now the Square are changing the market for launch monitors. You know longer need to spend thousands of dollars to enjoy the benefits of simulated golf and accurate feedback.

How does the club data compare in terms of accuracy to the Mevo plus. Some videos on YT could not get the two working together to check so might not be possible in your setup. Also have they had any updates to their software, it would be good to know they are making corrections (maybe not possible to tell)

I just ordered a Square and was told they will have more stock this week and it should be delivered next week. Will post a review once I get it and test it.
