    Handicap System seems way off

How does the handicap system work? I'm currently sitting at an 8 handicap in TGC (I'm a 3.8 in real life) and can't for the life of me figure out why my in-game handicap is so high. As an example I played KPC Beta today, and shot a 71 (real score not adjusted). My handicap went UP from 8.0 to 9.5. I've noticed as an 8-9 handicap, I'm often only given 2-3 strokes per course. Shouldn't you be a 1-2 handicap if they consistently shoot +1 or +2 from the tips on a 7,000 yard Championship course?

The handicaps in TGC are based on course ratings. Course ratings are based on the scores on the course. In the video game world the scores are a lot of the times 5-10 below par thus making the course rating really low. The reality is your in game handicap depends on the courses you are playing.

Got my 5 rounds in and all my scores were between 72-81 and for some reason I have a 32.9 handicap. Now, I'm no pro by any means but jeesh, I'm better than that. 😂

      Whats going on?

Shot recording? Are you talking about your tour handicap? Your in game handicap is different from your tour handicap. You must also have shot recording turned on. Also, tour handicaps are only adjusted weekly on every Tuesday.

The in game (non tour) caps went bonkers for several awhile back. It was just a matter of setting it within the game. Seems to stay since I've adjusted mine. Now if this is a matter of a tour cap then this post will not be any help.

Yeah, it's just the in game handicap I guess. I'll wait till tuesday and see if I'm on the tour list.

Think it was a case sensitive issue. Will try again here
