    how many transfers of skytrak TGC license

    Was on the phone with Skytrak support to see if there are any transfer fees of TGC for a 2nd owner of the license. She said no, but wasn't clear if a third transfer of the license was even possible and advised that I contact Protee. Sent an email and will update with findings if someone doesn't beat me to it.

    Begs the question... Does Protee-United allow for a third ( or more ) owner of a TGC license without a fee?

    Protee has always been clear on transfer of ownership. It's allowed.

      Digging into the link contained within that link seems its not as clear as I thought:


      How would I obtain a license transfer?
      The first step is for you (the original owner) to submit your request in writing to support@protee-united.com

      All license transfer requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. Each request can take 3 to 5 business days to process and you will be notified as soon as there is a decision. We encourage you to secure the right to transfer the license before offering your software for sale, in order to avoid delays for the buyer in using his new license.

      How much does a license transfer cost?
      Depending on the circumstances, when a license transfer is granted, there could be an additional fee per license that covers the transfer of all the rights to the new user to use the software, to receive free email and online technical support, continuing software update rights, and the issuance of a new license key and account. The transfer fee depends on the outcome of the transfer request review and will range between $0 and $250 USD (ex. VAT if applicable).

      Can license-transferred (used) software be resold and transferred again?
      No. This can be done only once, and only by the original purchaser.




      So In answer to the OPs question it would seem that a 3rd owner actually is not possible, nor is a first transfer guaranteed, and if permitted could cost $250.
