Anybody come across this before? In the TGC software using Protee. I have always used the ball trail and today it for some reason disappeared. The setting is still on. Tried turning it off and on. Rebooted and tried again. Still not showing. Gremlins are loitering about.

I've had the trail disappear in the middle of a round, but have always been able to get it back by exiting and restarting the round. I asked ProTee about it and they said it must be a glitch and offered no more info or action. I've never had it disappear permanently, though. -
In case this happens to anyone....something got messed up in the setting file where the settings stored didn’t match what was on the screen. Solution from protee...worked like a charm (thanks protee!) - I was able to just delete the game-setting key. Everything inTHC went back to default so had to change everything back, the ball trail has reappeared!:

TGC settings are stored in Windows registry. You can edit the registryp using REGEDIT. Run it and find the following key:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HB Studios Multimedia Ltd.
Delete either the full keychain "The Golf Club" or try to delete just the key "GameSettings_xxxxxxxxx" (xxxxxxxxx = a unique key)Comment
