  • TGC2 Feature Requests

the top requests that I can think of:

    - the ability to save and track multiple profiles
    - fix the green patch so firmness override works and so that it shows the same shot on the green for everyone during online play regardless of different green settings for stimp, speed, and firmness
    - more multiplayer game modes
    - store locally the sim friendly courses so that there is less traffic on the protee servers and things can run smoother
    - have the default course filter show only sim friendly courses

that's all I've got for now. looking forward to February!

    - multiple tee options
    - click from anywhere on the field to know the distance to the tee
    - have an option to auto-select the putting direction for amateurs so all they have to do is just putt straight
    - capture your swing with an external camera
    - driving range & mini drills & games
    - have an option to mulligan right after your shot instead of waiting on the shot result screen and pressing ESC.

Will update more if I think of any.

Oh wouldn’t auto rewind always mulligan every shot? I didn’t try that yet. Also do I click on the mini map to know the distance from my current ball position to the pin or anywhere I select it? I couldnt do that unlike e6 that’s why.

Range/mini game I meant like having a dedicated button option for it.

Well, you're always told how far to the pin. You can slide around on the minimap to see how far it is to layup spots, bunkers, green edge carry etc.

You should turn off the post screen analysis and set to manual. Slows down too much. Enter a range and hit R on the keyboard and you're on a range.

Totally agree on the local storage of sim-friendly courses, or at least the local storage of Favorite courses. My Internet here is terrible, so the local option would be huge!
    I would also add:
    - The option to play just specific holes on a course (i.e., 11-13, 15 and 16 at Magnolia National) without conceding.
    - The option to repeat a hole at any point for the sake of practice.

I was reminded of something just now on this. In TGC1, the mini map shows distance to pin and elevation change in relation to where you are now and the pin. This is great if you are able to hit the green from that distance, 8 iron away to the green. However, if you are on the tee box, you don't know the elevation change to the landing area. You can't assume that because the green is 10 feet below the tee box that the landing area short of the crossing creek is 10 feet below as well. It could be more or less. Long winded post to ask if elevation change could be added to the mini map when you're sliding around?

That would be awesome! I think one of the versions of the Tiger Woods game offered that. That would be very helpful in the simulator!

E6 has this built in and its very nice. It would be a great add-on.

TGC2 has this feature already, kind of.. When you hit the E button, It gives you elevation along with the yardages, just not for your specific distance, but at least we will have an idea what the elevation is at 200, 250, 300 yards etc.. Not sure if the elevation is included on the mini map as I dont have one on the playstation.

How about incorporating the Protee base unit with the skytrak!!!!!!!!!! Use ST data for ball flight and just show the clubhead data as a reference information. You control both streams of info. I'm guessing it should be fairly simple for the code writing folks.

I've been trying to get Protee to do this with Rmotion. Use the HA from the rmotion, the Skytrak for everything else. They also have to get Rapsodo to play ball, not to mention, get TGC2 up and running. But I agree with ya!

Not just Skytrak, but GC2 too!!! That would be much cheaper than buying an HMT and still give almost as much info. Plus ProTee could make some money selling sensor mats ;-)

I'd also hope that they would eliminate the green configuration patch, and just have the ability to set the firmness, stimp, and wind upfront, before each round. I don't understand why HB would miss this on their release..

Totally agree. You could set all this stuff up in the old Links PC game, and it would be awesome to be able to do that with TGC2. Hope they get it right!
