TGC 2 $7.99 on steam until 2/19

Just bought it last night in anticipation of needing it for the next version of the simulator software. Sale goes until February 19th it seems

I always assumed the steam version of TGC had nothing to do with the sim version but maybe I'm wrong.

Honestly I wasn't sure either so I grabbed it just in case because it was so cheap

It doesn't. I bought TGC through Steam before the SkyTrak integration was released and it was useless. You'll need to buy a version trough ProTee (probably) in order to use it with a launch monitor.

Figured that may be the case. A also bought TGC on steam before I bought the SIM version. I've spent $8 on worse things I guess. I'll start saving all my favorite courses now at least for when the SIM version eventually (hopefully) comes
