Questions on dropped Skytrak connection while playing The Golf Club

Yesterday with some friends over I had my connection dropped several times. Is there a way to reconnect without shutting down TGC?
When you shut down and come back on you can continue the game but everyone is deleted but me so it's a bit of a pain.
Also is there a way to save the game with all player. I'm thinking the answer to that one is no, but I certainly don't know every thing about the hardware or soft ware.
I'm sure these questions have been covered but I tried a search but couldn't find anything I also checked other threads and didn't find anything.

I typically have a similar issue while playing with friends. I always restart both the skytrak interface and the TGC software. I normally just add my friends as players again and hit continue round. My friends are able to play with me again from whatever hole I left off, but there strokes start back at zero for the round. I'd be curious to know if there is a better way too.

OK I did some experimenting today. I started a game in TGC using 4 players then I turned off the SkyTrak to simulate lost connection then turned it back on. I still had TGC running and no laser dot.

Here's what I did.
I went back to windows 10 Desktop. (to do this I had to press control/esc)
I went over to the right of the taskbar and pressed the system tray.
The Golf Club Icon is in there and I left clicked it which brings up TGC connection screen. (little shield Icon)
Then I pressed the connection button. I've done this a couple of times now and both times I had to do this twice. The first time it doesn't connect the second it does. ( Don't ask me why lol )
Then I pressed the game Icon on the task bar (not the little sheild Icon)
Went back in and the laser dot was back on and was able to continue the game no problem and nothing lost.
Tried this twice today and worked the same both time.
