Lost my tournament progress & other questions

Making some rookie mistakes here. I started playing the Shriners tournament my first try to get tournament involved.
On the 8th hole my shots stopped registering. However my gc2 connected status still was fully intact it stated. Any idea what that means?

Then I moved on to see some other courses for a second and that caused my tournament progress to be irrevocably deleted? You can only have one particular round on Deck to continue and if you start another round it will be washed away is that true?

Lastly I feel that I'm commonly missing about a clubs worth of yardage below a 9-iron compared to real life, how again should that be addressed? But not always so I'm not sure what to think.

You can continue a tournament but only the last regular round can be continued. If you exit the tournament and go back but it puts you on a different hole you already played you're experiencing internet issues.

Okay that answer is that you can only go back and play the most recent round and definitely cannot start a new round.
