The Golf Club - Demo/Trial Version Available?

I am a new Skytrak owner and want to purchase golf course simulation software. I tried a demo version of E6 TruGolf and it was OK. I am currently trying a demo version of Creative Golf 3D. I am at a decision point but would like to try The Golf Club solution before deciding and buying but am not willing to spend a lot of money on The Golf Club without trying it out first. I have sent two messages through The Golf Club Simulator website Contact page inquiring about this but have not received a response to either message. Does anyone know if a demo version of The Golf Club is available and if so, how do you go about getting it?

There is no demo for tgc. You can only buy the video game on steam (pc), Xbox or PlayStation to try it out. I would recommend steam to see if your laptop/computer can handle the graphics.

There are now tons of videos on youtube showing all kinds of hardware with TGC. It's not the same as a demo, but i think it should be enough to make a determination if it's something you would want. The kicker is definitely the computer, it needs a good standalone graphics card.

Thanks, I will check out Youtube. In regards to the graphics card, I recently bought a new Dell G7 Gaming computer which has a NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 with NVIDIA® Max Q Design technology and 6GB GDDR5 video memory. Do you have a feel if this graphics card is adequate for TGC?

You should try to see if there any people on the forum that are close by your location where you could go try the software. It is expensive and it makes sense to want try it out first.

Yeah you should post your location to see if someone has a setup close to you. Also you should know that Protee is knee deep in prepping and testing TGC2019 which I am sure is consuming quite a bit of their resources. If you are around the Los Angeles, CA or In S.W. Central Florida area (which is where I will be next week) let me know I would be happy to show you how SkyTrak and TGC & TGC 2019 Alpha work in a sim environment.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I live in Northeast Ohio near Akron and about 40 minutes from Cleveland if anyone is nearby and willing to let me see TGC in action.

I demoed Creative Golf and E6, then bought TGC with zero regrets.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been researching TGC with the Skytrak since there is no demo version and have a couple of questions: 1) when viewing on Youtube, it appeared that it took 6-7 seconds between ball strike and when the golf ball took off in TGC - is this normal? 2) Is there a tee selection available on the courses and if so, can you select tee by player (e.g. senior tees)?

The shot delay is from the Skytrak itself. I have gotten used to it and actually like it as it only use a monitor off to the side. The delay ensures I hold my finish and then look at my monitor. I believe TGC2019 will have multiple tees but not in the current version.

rickem The shot delay from ST is not that long, it's more like 2-3 seconds. Not sure why it was 6-7. In TGC you cannot play from different tees, this is addressed in TGC2019.

rickem I concur with thorin33 and wbond's replies.

The shot delay is not an issue at all, but I wished I could select a "mulligan" a lot sooner...
