  • TGC 2019 Skytrak - Screen Resolution Issue

    Hi There

Can anyone help, I downloaded the updated TGC2019 on my PC yesterday for Skytrak. All works fine which is great, but I have a few issues I would like some help with if possible:

    1. Screen Resolution, I run a an EPSON EH-TW7400 4K projector, which I used to run with TGC original programme, when the programme fired up it used to let me select the resolution I wanted. I used to select a 4K resolution fine and graphics on high and away I went. Now with 2019, it doesn't give you the screen resolution when you first start the game, I have then gone into graphics and changed the resolution, but nothing seems to change. I am not sure of the HZ rating I should be using as there are alot to choose from, but either way, no where as simply as the original TGC to sort. So currently can only run in normal HD!

    2. Can someone help with Skytrak, how do I make some adjustments to spin etc, as most definitely in TGC2019, there isnt as much spin that it should be. E.G - sand/lob wedge from 100-110 yards, picked off perfectly still bounces and runs forward on TCG2019, where on TGC it would stop and grip and spin back. Just for ref, I am a 2 handicap, so I am not thinning the ball or anything and wondering why it doesnt spin etc. I did used to run a GC2, but now have skytrak, are there some setting I should be changing or reviewing.

    3. Also the same applies for small chips around the green 10-20 yards, no real spin on these on 2019, where TGC used to spin possibly excessively at times.

If anyone can help with these points it would be much appreciated, i do love 2019, just want to sort these few points out if possible.

    Thanks

I run 4k by first having Windows resolution at 3860 x2140 set before entering the game. That's in the windows display or control panel area. Then in in-game graphics settings pick that same resolution. Also choose what refresh rate 30 or 60 fps for that resolution.

Most Everyone here has set their green speeds In-game settings before you start the round to Moderate, sometimes Slow as the idea it most commonly reflects real life.

Set green firmness to soft, maybe very soft there too. You get the idea custom change there to your liking.

Now I'm less sure about this: if still not happy, there is probably a setting in GSX for spin control of clubs like wedges. Remember if your playing on the tour here, you cannot "boost" any setting in GSX beyond 5 or - 5 , otherwise it's illegal and you're disqualified.

It will prob never been like the rain soaked grip of TGC1. Part of why chipping is so much better in 2019 with above changes.

Unless they fixed it, the spin needs to be penalized out of the rough better. The first hot high hop is a known issue too.

I think the short chips play way better than TGC1, they react more realistic. In TGC1 the ball would stop way too quickly like the greens had velcro on them.
the 100 yard shots I agree, not enough bite. I get like 11-12k of spin and it does not even bite, it rolls out 3-4 yards and stops without ever coming back at all. I reported it during the Alpha testing but it is the same in the final release.

soft and slow are the best settings for the greens IMO
