I'm not the most tech savvy guy. I also will admit I don't have the time or desire to read every thread on these forums. Having said that....I have some questions I need answered. Just want to make sure I'm doing things properly.

I see some posts about club selections and "can I put a gap wedge in my bag"? my question is does it matter? Does that change something I'm not aware of? I never even look at what club is listed on the screen ( unless I change to a putter on the fringe).

I see some posts about ball drag settings. I am a GC2 user - am I supposed to use that?

Finally....putting speed. Anyone have their speed on 0? Or negative?

As GC2 user you don't have drag to worry about or the need to worry about clubs in the bag. We can hit any club we want and we will see the right yardage and LA. I think Protee users need to enter their club to get the right spin added to their shot. Also they tend to have more issues with their wedges and possibly the need then for more wedge options.

As a GC2 user you can play with all clubs at 0 if you find they are going the right carry distance. If so they you should not need to change club at any time unless you need to putt from the fringe. Then you need to do that. I have my GSX set up with Driver and woods and irons all at 2 and wedges at 0. My putt speed is 13. I tried to make a 12 to 15 foot putt work with about a 6 ball speed on the GC2. It's a bit hard to tell the exact putt speed on the GC2 readout as it will round the number up or down to the whole number. So a putt speed of 6.4 will read as a 6 and a 6.5 will read as a 7 on the GC2 however the actual speed is what the sim will use. So I have a scale written down from the Protee days of what each ball speed will give. For example a 6 ball speed will be from 12 to 18 feet, so in fact it may be a 5.5 to a 6.4 ball speed that will generate that result. For the Protee GSX I had the putt speed at 40.

As you play a course with faster greens you just need to know that you can drop your ball speed down a bit to get a similar results. Don't adjust you GSX putt speed once you get it set to a speed you find is good for you. There is a rule about that and it is better to keep it the same for you to get used to and just adjust your real putt speed when greens change.
