    Hello all!

Really enjoying TGC, but the online play is a bit confusing, and can be frustrating. Curious why we can’t host matches on our own network? I’ve notice that creating a party doesn’t work. I feel that a game at this value should have a friends list within the game on the main menu. I also think we should be able to add the game to the steam platform, and be able to join via steam. I know that SkyTrac has to be connected in a way that probably interferes with adding the game to steam. Just thinking out loud, and I know I’m not the only one frustrated with the online play.

I'm not sure what you mean by "adding" the game to steam. There is a steam version of the game that you can buy separately and the steam version has its own tournaments and community. If I'm playing in a tournament using a launch monitor, I don't want to be competing against the guys using a controller. The two platforms are kept separated.

You are right in that adding friends and guests and setting up matches online is confusing and could be done a lot better.

So you can add games that are non steam games into steam. The reason for this is to add friends through steam instead of the way we have to do it now. Yes it would still be separated between the actual steam game version vs the simulator version.

I see what you mean now. Based on the number of threads that pop up about people having problems trying to play online multi-player it does seem that TGC could have set this up better than they did. I think they tried to get too cute with the whole rivals thing rather than just taking the simple route.
    Working...
