Lost connection then reload but friends dropped out

Several players have lost connection via network and they close out and restart everything. When they go back to the match the local friends aren’t in there anymore. Is there a way to reconnect and still have your local friends in the match or do you have to begin from scratch?

Can't you go to the Rapsodo interface and reconnect without leaving the game? I know if I do this playing by myself it takes me back to my last shot. Does it still dump other players if you don't shut down TGC?

It depends what happens. If the internet goes down or the server for TGC goes down it boots you out and you can’t resume. The server has gone down a couple of times this month but rarely before. If you have spotty internet play offline courses.

If you have bad internet and lose connection a lot you can play offline and the 40 or so courses there.
