TGC gol numbers changed?

I use the android version of the remote (works great!) and I can confirm that when I press 5iron on the tablet that indeed a 5 shows up in notepad.

in TGC, if I just 5 I get a 6iron. If I press 5 on the keyboard, I get a 6iron. This wasn't the case previously. Is there something that changed in TGC recently that changed this mapping?

Does it even matter changing the clubs in the game?

TGC has always been like that, it’s a club higher on the number you select. Selecting club has no impact on the shot, I only change club for aiming with the scout camera.

It's so strange, I could have sworn 2 weeks ago that I used the 5i on the app to be the 5 iron in the game. Maybe too many beers consumed while playing

Can you explain why changing the club changes the scout camera?

Changing the club affects how far the scout camera will travel. Driver it goes about 265 yards then about 240 for 3 wood etc. Laying up with a shot I don’t always want to hit it where the scout camera zooms to so lowering the club shortens that distance so I can see what I am getting myself into.

That makes sense. I'd guess that changing your club so that the game learns your distance is exactly the reason people do it for the scouting reason.

I use the android "remote" app. I'm nearly 100% certain that the clubs were correct with the app and I never had to choose a 4 for a 5 iron. Any idea how I may fix this?
