  • Sim version on 2 PCs?

I've got TGC simulation version on my PC in my garage for use with my GC2.

I was looking at the course editor the other day... but my PC in the garage is on the wall and not in a suitable place for prolonged use (i.e. designing a golf course!)
I have a MacBook Pro with Windows on it, and was looking to put TGC on it to play with the course editor. Can I put my simulation version on my MacBook Pro too, or will I have to buy the Steam version? I'm never actually going to play it as a game, so I kind of grudge having to buy another copy to test out the course editor!
I thought there may be an issue since I had to send TGC my machine ID for getting the Sim version to work on my Sim PC.

£23 in the UK... although the price isn't really the point.
I've already spent $1895 on the sim version and just wondered if I could use it on another PC.
I'll probably get bored of making my own course after 20 mins!

In the past Protee would let you have a 2nd licence for a design PC or laptop and it just would not be able to play as a sim. If you just buy the steam version for PC ( very cheap) you can hit shots with the mouse to get an idea of play as you design. Also the steam version will always have the updates as they come out where as our sim version is delayed. Just don't design in a new theme that the sim version does not have and expect to be able to play it on the sim right away.

I asked about putting Protee2.0 on two pc's and was told no way... Even though I woul never be using the 2 at the same time I want one version on a portable for my second home.

We were talking mainly about TGC with a design version as the 2nd but I though you could also have 2 Protee versions and then what happens is that you can't use both at the same time like you said you wanted. Things may have changed on that though.

I suspect it's 1 liscence, 1 computer. Get the Steam version. I do not think they would allow multiple computers for obvious reasons.
