TGC1 Handicap Explanation

Hi Folks,

So I've recently set up my sim and have TGC 1. I've played 15 or so handicapped rounds. At the start as I was getting used to it I hit some mid 80s and 90s and my handicap index was in the 22 range. Well since then I've been hitting it really nice, scoring in the high 70s mostly. (I've played some easy courses as well and shot really well). My handicap index is currently +44. In the software is says a positive index is good. I was playing a round earlier and i was even after 5 holes and my adjusted score was actually +2. This seems crazy to me. Does anyone have info on TGC's handicap index??

I designed the Handicap System in TGC1. You have 2 handicaps. 1 in the game and 1 in tour events. The game one is based on the video game rules. Every round determines your handicap based on the scores posted on those courses. Everyone is the video game world shoots low so a course handicap is often way below par. This has nothing to do with tour events. The TGC1 tour has it’s own handicap that only kicks in after 5 tour rounds. It’s separate. The course handicap is set to a standard for all courses. You won’t see your tour handicap in the game. It’s on the tour site. The game handicap is not of any use due to in game course ratings. The tour systems is based on RSGA
