  • TGC + TRACKMAN

    Anyone have this setup?

I want something that allows my left handed friends to play just as easily. I dont like putting on a sim, so im not worried about that aspect.

    Any suggestions?

I have actually been watching some trackmans on Ebay and they can be had for around 10k, which is surprising to me.

At the moment, there is no ability to play TGC with a TM. You might see the pricing for used TM where they are because they just announce the release of TM4, which seems to be a huge step up, but also comes with a price. However with the new price of $19k for the indoor unit with camera you are also paying a lot. I note that one would no longer need the putting add on any longer as TM4 supports putting and short chips now.

If TGC does ever become available for TM, I sure hope that they include TM3e as well.

The price for a new fully loaded TM3e did come down a lot though and they can now be had foR $20k.

Thanks for the info. I really need something that can go left and right handed and play TGC. Suggestions?

I don't have one but from what I read on the forums the past 6 months, protee if set up with enough room on both sides will allow left and right handed player to play together seamlessly and comes with TGC.

I thought that Flightscope, was also rumoured to be going TGC route as well. Might want to look into that further as well as Protee as noted above.

Why not just buy a ProTee unit and use that for right/left handed? We have 3 ProTee units and 1 FlightScope at our indoor center. First, I HIGHLY doubt FlightScope or TM will ever integrate with TGC.

We have a FlightScope VX2.. and they recently release a firmware update that effectively bricked the FS. Had to call support, and go through a remote session for them to hack the firmware back together.. Don't get me wrong as a teacher a doppler radar system is great. However our ProTee units for simulation are second to none. However they don't seem to be much of a tech company.

I once setup our FlightScope unit on the ProTee bay and the numbers were within 3 yards on nearly every swing. Bottom line, for just adding left handed and TGC.. save 7k and buy a ProTee IMO.

ALSO, my experience with ProTee support has been the best!!!
