  • im really mad at this...

    i wrote this before

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

is this true? 05-08-2015, 08:09 PM

i found GSA golf can use TGC simualtor now.

and they can sell TGC for $999 without buying Protee 2.0 software.

i asked "can i bought TGC simulator without buying Protee 2.0 software? because i dont play protee 2.0 and i only play TGC with GC2" before..

    http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...e-2-0-software

but Zmax and another person said that have to buy protee 2.0..

so.. i dont understand why GSA can sell TGC without protee 2.0?

i spend $1995. if Protee can sell TGC without protee 2.0 software for GC2 user like GSA.. then i could save my money $1000... if i can.. i want to refound my license and i want to buy GSA.

and i have one more question..

now im feeling GC2 accuracy isnt good. and now GSA can play TGC.

i think GSA is more good than GC2. because more cheap.. dont stop develop and update their sensor.

so i think even i have problem with GSA sensor.. they can fix it quickly..

so if i will buy GSA sensor.. can i play TGC with my license? or have to buy new TGC software from GSA?...

now im little upset to spend $1000 for buying protee 2.0 software. protee 2.0 software is nothing for me... i just want to play only TGC..

    please make sense me..

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    and protee united reply this..

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ProTee is not selling TGC as a stand-alone package. We sell the ProTee Golf 2.0 package. This package includes TGC as a free add-on.

In the very near future we will make sensor systems available with just TGC (like GSA).

Note: Please be aware that TGC for GSA will not work with ProTee hardware and vice versa. Same for other hardware devices available now and in the future.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and now they are selling TGC as a stand-alone package $995 in swingsense.com

i bought GC2 because of TGC. and i didnt need Protee 2.0 software and course.

but they sold it together because need protee 2.0 interface. and they said have to buy protee 2.0 program and course too for using TGC with GC2.

so i spent money $1995 even i didnt need and didnt use protee 2.0 software and course.. i spent more $1000 just becasue of proee interface..

now.. gc2 user can buy TGC $995

and i think skytrak user will be able to buy TGC alone with $995.

am i wrong? still GC2 user have to buy TGC with protee 2.0? $1995?

i want to ask this to GC2 user who spent money already $1995

im so mad robbed of my $1000.

protee united~~!! please please make me sense....

You are talking about a question asked a year ago. Things have changed. Don't ask a forum member, ask Protee. Go to swingsense.com which is Protee. You can buy justbTGC now.

    Mad for nothing?

I'm struggling with this a bit as well. The pricing model used over a year ago was what it was. If I recall Protee users recd TGC for free, but at the time, any CG2 owners who used Protee also recd TGC software for free. At that time it likely would not have made sense to sell only TGC by itself as it was still new and untested and also would have likely angered many long time customers or those that just paid all the money to get onto Protee software to only find out they could have spent less.

We are now over a year later and things have changed, including the possibility of adding a significant number of new users and Protee is just likely positioning themselves to try a capture a larger slice of the pie. I would love it if TGC was available on my TM, but I don't see that happening.

Would you be mad if your a TM driver that you paid $500 for at the beginning of the season is now selling for $350 and next year you will pick it up for $200?

Thedancerjin, you would have had to wait until now to get TGC by itself. No one knows what price things will be in the future. You are not thinking clearly. If you bought the iPhone 6 for $300, are you mad when the iPhone 6s comes out a year later? Welcome to buying software and technology. You can always wait to buy any of it cheaper. Software and technology ALWAYS gets cheaper, faster and better. (Almost always) My point is that you can wait to buy something, but if you're waiting until it hits its cheapest point, you'll never buy it. You paid more money to be one of the early owners of TGC. That's normal when it comes to software.

I think CG2 is a solid product with TGC, I don't have room for all those cameras for GSA golf and wouldn't want to take the time to set it up and calibrate everything. I don't think you wasted your money its what you paid for it at the time.

this is different situation. iPhone 6s is new verson than iPhone 6. Protee dont sell new TGC verson like TGC 2. they just sold TGC with Protee software and now just sell TGC alone.

and they said and confirmed that they dont sell TGC without Protee software. so i believed it. and i thought protee wont sell TGC without protee. so i paid $1995.

if they said to me like "now we sell TGC with protee. but later.. we will sell TGC without protee more cheeper.." then i was be able to wait until price will be drop.. because $1000 is big to me..

i totally can understand if they start to sell TGC 2 and they drop TGC 1's price.. but this is totally different situation..

this is because why asked my question to protee before..

i think they sold TGC with protee software even GC2 user didnt need protee because they monopolized TGC so they could get more money with protee software.

but now.. GSA sell TGC $995 and im sure Skytrak will sell same price. so now Protee cant sell TGC include protee more expancive..

so They choose to sell TGC stand alone..

but i think protee could sell TGC stand alone at the first time if they are honest company.

JV17.. if you want to iPhone 6s.. you have to buy iPhone 3 with more money.. so you buy iPhone 6s with iPhone3 even you dont need iPhone3.. but some day Apple will sell iPhone 6s without iPhone 3 becasue Samsung sell Galuxy 6 without any another unnecessary product..

              can you understand?

i didnt use protee untill now. because i dont need to use protee instead of TGC.

if protee sold it seperatly.. im sure i didnt buy Protee 2.0

Thanks for letting everyone know you're mad. Get over it. I bought both too. That was what was available when I bought it. Life goes on.

I bought Protee / TGC for my GC2 in January for the full price, and have never used Protee. I would have loved the option back then to JUST buy TGC for half the price.
That wasn't an option then, so I paid full price. If I'd known it was going to be sold separately, I probably would have waited - since I've barely used TGC so far (still setting up).
Hey ho... companies change their marketing strategies all the time. As above... I just paid about £350 for a TaylorMade M1 driver. This time next year, I can probably buy it for £150. TaylorMade aren't going to refund me the £200!!

I'd think you would have a more legitimate gripe if you were told this recently (within the last month). According to mthunt these questions were asked over a year ago. Chances are that ProTee didn't even know that they would ever sell the two pieces separately back then. Due to normal business reasons they changed their approach and have decided to sell TGC as a standalone product. How could they have predicted that a year ago? Changes in the simulator market have caused them to change their business approach. They can't be expected to have a crystal ball. Really you should recognize that everybody else is taking the side of ProTee on this issue.

Agreed. My company has our own software products and we've adjusted pricing at times based on various factors. We've never worried about customers that bought over 6 months ago, but we've made sure to work something out with any that bought very recently prior to the price change.

Pro tee's reply does not appear to be misleading.

"ProTee is not selling TGC as a stand-alone package. We sell the ProTee Golf 2.0 package. This package includes TGC as a free add-on.

That is exactly how it was and is turning out to be.

dancer, at the time you bought TGC from ProTee it was brand new for simulation. No one else had it and it hadn't been tested or run with very long. That's why they gave it away free for those of us that purchased ProTee. They didn't know if TGC would be a viable sales product or not, so they gave it to their paying customers for free. They were still testing TGC when you got it. You were part of a beta test. Testing was successful and demand was good, so they decided to sell it. Half of us with TGC did the same thing as you. You can't ask ProTee to have known what they were going to do with TGC and how it would be priced back when they gave it to you for free with your purchase of ProTee. You seem like a reasonable guy, but I think you're a little unreasonable with your expectations in this case.
