  • It's Broken...

After not having played tgc for a month or so, ive tried to have a game tonight and it's not working.

GSX tells me that both the input and output are connected. Gsx can definitely see the shot data from my gc2, but TGC just sits there after I've hit a shot without doing anything.

    Has anyone seen this before?

Is there an option i need to click within TGC which i may have inadvertently triggered when messing about?

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers.

oh, and i've seen the win 7 and win 10 issues and that some people need to run as an administrator. I've tried that and no dice.

i upgraded to win10, saw it did horrible things to my computer, so downgraded back to win 7. everything should be as it was....

admin or not, tgc just sits there...

Just upgraded to TGC 3.0 and that hasn't made a difference. My gsx version is stuck on 0.6.3, and on further analysis it apears that each shot is not updating through gsx. Wil try and get a download link for the latest version from protee.

Will let you know how i get on

      cheers

GSX for me is 0.6.7. I assume that is the latest but am not certain. Are you sure yours is 0.6.3? Anyway since it worked before I doubt it is the problem.

Do you have the Protee Interface running? You need all three...gsx, protee and TGC.

Is the Protee interface set to be using TGC and external data?

Initially you said the GSX was definitely get the GC2 data, then later said it wasn't. I'd sort that out for sure because if GSX really isn't seeing the GC2 then the problem is more likely in the Windows/GC2 connection and not Protee side of things.

If none of that helps, suggest looking up the instructions on how to use the GC2 and following them from the beginning so you can systematically make sure you haven't missed a step.

the issue appears to be a bluetooth issue with windows as foresight golf cant connect to the gc2 either. but the gc2 does connect to my phone, so its an issue with the computer. stupid windows update to win10 appears to have broken it, as it worked before. But I've literally no idea how to fix it. Is there a repair install for windows 8 like there was for win 95 - showing my age 😁

Sounds like either a GC2/Bluetooth pairing issue, or outgoing Com port mismatch.

I'm repeating myself but maybe go back to the initial setup instructions for setting up your GC2 and bluetooth connection and verify you've done everything correctly.

Look at this and re-verify that you have everything setup right - It won't matter what OS W7, W8, or W10 you have but you have the Bluetooth setup right. Keep in mind that every time you create a new Bluetooth connection your going to get a new com ports. You have to use the new ports in GSX

I had a similar issue once... Somehow the TGC switch in the interface got turned off. Just make sure it's on .

I'm back up and running. no clue what the problem was. my gc2 could connect to my phone. my phone to my computer. but the gc2 would not connect to the pc. In the end i reinstalled all the bluetooth drivers, and connected the gc2 via usb. That awakened it, and fingers crossed we've fixed this problem for good...

thanks for all your suggestions and input.
