TGC yardage way off Help

I'm fairly new to the golf club. I can't seen to get my shot to get even close to what they should be. I'm pounding a 5 iron and it showing 130 yards.
I can't use my woods in the basement so right now I'm on using irons. can someone please help. thanks

What system are you using?

A have skytrack with the golf club, running on a AMD 8370 processor , 8 gig ram Solid state hard drive Geforce 1060 video card with 3 gig ram. run fine and looks good but the yardage is so far off.. I dont know why.. Going back to the Skytrak Practice its off too but not as much ad the GC.. any suggestions?

Post a screenshot of a wedge, 7 iron and 5 iron. It may be a combination of your indoor swing and ball speed. What are your ST TGC settings? I assume your on a flat range in TGC not an uphill shot?

Yes.. Skytrak setting are no wind alt. 2500. hard fairway. .. Not sure what you mean on a flat range in TGC.. didnt know there was a way to get to a driving range in The Golf Club..

I had the same experience in the first week of owning my SkyTrak. I was addressing the ball completely different indoors than I was outdoors and didn't even realize it until I purchased a couple alignment sticks. I was also getting way to much loft on the ball and noticed the launch degree was way high. After couple of weeks I have been able to dial in my swings and absolutely enjoy playing TGC. Give it time, your mind and body need to adjust to playing indoors. The good thing is you have instant feedback on the numbers to make adjustments. Don't just look at yardage numbers to improve your swing.

While my numbers are relatively similar on my irons I do have completely different swings indoor and outdoor. I think it's the depth perception for me.

What are you hitting off of? I was honestly ready to sell my skytrak because I was off by as much as 20-30 yards per mid irons. I couldn't get my 7 iron past about 125 carry until I realized my hitting mat was way too thick and my clubs were just slowing down and I was losing tons of yardage. I bought a new thinner hitting mat and everything is great now, I'm regularly hitting my 7 anywhere up to 160 now without issue depending on how fast I swing. So maybe try a different mat or something before you lose your mind like I was....

I had the Matzilla type mat from all turf mats. I now use their professional grade driving range mat which is much thinner but still very good quality. I can't put a tee into the mat itself but it has numerous jokes precut for rubber tees so I just use the ones that hold real tees inside the rubber ones...

I can almost guarantee that there isn't a problem with the unit or the software. This is a classic PEBKAC problem. Super common , most likely the most common issue across all platforms relating to indoor golf of any type. Your swing speed and/or efficiency is way down indoors, most likely you don't even realize it.

If you want to pick up another toy get a Swing Speed Radar , use it outdoors to create a baseline, then indoors , get the numbers the same, then see how your TGC numbers are.
