There are many good people here that can help. Do yourself a favor and read the stickies on the forum first as many topics are covered extensively. Even so there are always new and good questions for us to share. We always help out because we were all where you are and can empathize with you.

      BTW. Welcome to the forum.

I apologize in advance if many of these questions have been asked often before(I did have a look though!).

As I understand it, TGC was at first designed for consoles and PC and later on updated to work for real simulator use, and that will show the ballflight and no avatar swinging the club

        1. What would you say are the pros and cons of TGC software compared to E6?
        2. Developer diary on TCG website says they're working on a TGC 2, but I see her on the forum talk of 3.0 release?(wild guess it's 3.0 version of the TGC 1 game, and next will be the 2 actual sequel)?
        3. Is there a workaround to make it work with GC2+HMT? If so, what data does it show from the sensors?
        4. Is there a practice range and does it upload data from range(and course) from whatever sensor is used?
        5. Does it support 4K/HDR/WCG ?
        6. Does TCG have a booth at the PGA show?
        7. Does it have live wather updates based on weather stations/GPS(which I think FSX has)
        8. Does it have fun child friendly games like the E6 Cloud update has and other software(targets, breaking windows, card games etc.)?

          1. TGC gives you a crazy amount of courses and really good graphics but only the ability to play and hit shots like a real golf course where E6 has training tools and games and built in stat tracking but not as good graphics and less courses. TGC is a lot less money
          2. 3.0 is TGC Sim 1 v3.0
          3. Works on all ball data points but does not integrate with club data.
          4. There are ranges and you can practice but no multiple tracers
          5. Supports 4k
          6. TGC was there last year I believe with a couple of launch monitor companies
          7. To match current weather at the actual course? No.
          8. No

            1. TGC pros. Graphics are fantastic, play is very realistic, choice of courses, tour play, great support from Protee. Price. $1000 for TGC is a bargain compared to E6. Over 100000 courses.
TGC cons. a little behind on range features, no multiple tees,
E6 pros, great features on the range. All courses are accurate. Multiple game modes.
E6 cons, looks and plays dated. lack of courses, Cost....$1600 for 15 courses.... really? Pay $400 for another 12 courses.... really?..... not enough... pay another $400 for another 12 courses. If you want E6 cloud, you have to spend $1600 first.... no option to try the Cloud for non E6 users.

            2. 3.0 is the version of TGC 1. TGC is coming next year with more features.

            3. My understanding is that the GC2 + HMT works with TGC????

            4. Plenty of ranges to choose from..... Data is collected and viewable through the tour website or downloadable into CSV.

            5. 4K yes.... not too sure if anyone is running 4k yet.... Get the best video card available for 4k.... currently GTX 1080.

            6. Not sure. You will be able to see it there, as skytrack will have a demo going and maybe a few others. Plenty of TGC sim videos on YouTube.

            7. Live weather,.... no, you can choose time of day and wind.... that's all I think.

            8. Child friendly courses.... yes..... games ....no.

Anyone..... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
