I own a SkyTrak. My Sim room has a low ceiling (8 feet) so I cant really swing my Driver or 3 wood. Do you think its worth spending money on a SIM software in this instance ? I hear TGC courses are 6500+ yards and you dont have an option to choose a tee to play from. Trying to get some views from the seasoned TGC players if its worth spending $1000 bucks on it.

I've only had TGC a few months but I'd say it's still worth it minus 3 wood or driver. Still plenty of practice to be had and with some research there's plenty of courses to be played under 6500 yards. I've played a couple par courses that I enjoy. I'm sure there's a bunch to choose from

X2 on what branover said. I would still use it and love it if I couldn't hit 3W and Driver.
Although not allowed in the tour....... does the Skytrak interface let you set a driver boost so you can hit with a hybrid or 4 iron and just pick the driver club and have it boosted? Seems like a good work around for longer courses.

You are correct that you can't demo it before buying. You will need a good computer for it to run smoothly and there are lots of threads discussing that. If you want to test your computer cheaply, you can download the keyboard version on steam. If it can run it well, the simulator version will work.
As to your original question the longest club I use is a 2 hybrid. The longer courses are tough, but it is still a blast. You will have a handicap which also helps level the playing field.
