I graduated from University of Maryland in 2009 and have enjoyed many hours and rounds of golf at their course. There is constant discussion from the University about closing the course and repurposing the land so I am very happy to have captured it for simulator play. I am also happy to share it with this community. I am appreciative of any plays this gets as I always enjoy loading up random ghosts to play against at home.
This is my first published course using TGC2019 and Chad’s Tool. Many thanks to him for the tool and documentation, and other designers for inspiration too. Any feedback is welcome as I hope to continue designing and publish more local courses. 12 hours after publishing on Steam I've already noticed things I wish I could change but, well, you know.
UMD is a fantastic track and it transferred to my sim testing play nicely. Generous fairways and primary rough allow for space and angles in but mature trees outside the cart paths punish forward progress. Mostly raised greens and elevation changes throughout. Kid’s-ish tees (3,270 yards) included.

The Athletic Director’s report to The President in February 1955 outlined his committee’s view that “There is no way of having a complete course of Physical Education without having at least some facilities for the teaching of golf.”
