  • TGC 2019 Worth the Upgrade?

So, now that TGC 2019 has been out for a while, wondering if those who paid to upgrade think it's worth it. I use FSX most of the time, but I do like to occasionally go into TGC and play different courses since they're much better than the courses on FSX. I'm also interested in getting someone to build my two regular courses, but it would only work for TGC 2019. Looks like the upgrade would be another $519, which isn't bad for software, but I figured there are a lot of other folks on here who already pulled the trigger and have some thoughts on whether it was money well spent or not really worth it.

I'm also guessing there's another thread on this topic. If so, would appreciate a link. Thanks!

I think it’s worth it solely based on the course selection alone. There are what seems like an infinite amount of amazing courses. The course designer has taken on a life of it’s own and what people are doing with the courses is better than anything I’ve seen in sim golf. Add to that the online societies are amazing. It used to be there was the ProTee tour and that’s it. Now there are really popular tours for par 3 courses, shorter courses, non putting tours and everything. The community is strong. It’s a no brainer to me.

The game is a game and as such lacks some features that FSX has such as bag mapping and good club and ball data stat tracking. It also doesn’t have scrambles or anything. There’s a couple things like no lie effect that bugs some people but not many.
