My short test with Uneekor

I had the opportunity to try out the Uneekor last night. I do have any definitive statements but I can tell you that I did really enjoy it and I think that I will upgrade from Skytrak at some point in the next few months. I messed with the driving range, the fitting software, the short game complex, and we played a hole on the course. Here are a few observations. 1. Doug still continues to be forthcoming and prompt in his communications. 2. The current ball is junk but we tried out some stickers with a TP5 that worked...but it is more a Band-Aid than a solution. The stickers will come off. 3. Sometimes the club path data was way off but Uneekor may have an issue with black colored iron heads (this statement may have merit). 4. It read my 64 degree wedge no problem (Skytrak has issue with this). 5. I think the ball speed may be a little low. It is tough to know but if it is off, it is not off by much. 6. I believe the shot shape displayed on Uneekor is more accurate than Skytrak...Skytrak always shows me hitting draws (I am a lefty) and I simply have a different shot shape outdoors. That is my biggest issue with Skytak BTW. I posted a picture on Discord of the backspin between the stock ball and the TP5 sticker ball. There was a 5k difference between the two balls on my sand wedge. 8. We had a few periods of jumpiness on the course that we played...not sure the cause. 9. I have no idea what Uneekor data looks like on TGC2019 because we did not test this. 10. Updating the software was easy and quick.

Thanks for your sharing your experience, it sounds like a very similar experience to what Garage_Golf has had. I'd really like to see some numbers in comparison to GC2 and HMT so that we can see how close they really are with not only ball data but club data. It definitely seems that some of the club data is way off from the videos I've seen, but you can always look back at the video and get a good idea of face to path.

rjd1975 Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your purchase. How were you able to try out the Uneekor? Do you know someone that has one or is there a dealer near you?

cmckelvmi the short answer is there is a guy two hours away that has one. The longer answer is that I spoke with Doug Bybee and when he saw that I was calling him from Maryland he mentioned (in passing) that he was doing an install for Harry Brandt in Maryland. Harry is well known in the Sim market and was nice enough to let me come try it out (after I did some mild stalking It was nice to try before I bought. Truthfully I really don't know if it is worth upgrading from Skytrak because I think Skytrak is such a good product for the money and because the product is new but I just made the jump. All my dealings have been positive and they have been very up front with me about everything. I kinda like being on the ground floor with Uneekor.

I plan to keep folks updated on my progress. I should get mine sometime early next week.
