  • Putting from Fiberbuilt

Quick question about putting off a Fiberbuilt mat with Uneekor. I currently have a divot action mat and the putting is great because I'm effectively putting off the fairway or greens grade synlawn turf. Ball comes off smooth and Uneekor reads it well. For those that putt from a Fiberbuilt mat with longer fibers, what have you done? Does the ball jump when you putt? Do you putt from a difference surface, or does it seem to work out just fine?

    Thanks for your insight,
    BB

I wouldn’t putt off a fiberbuilt. It just isn’t built for doing so.

Thanks JHP, can I ask how you putt then with the Uneekor/Fiberbuilt combination?

When I had my QED and FB mat, putting was great. Because the QED coverage area is big, I was able to hit irons off the FB long bristle strip and put from the stance mat portion of the mat.

I putt from this area on my fiberbuilt setup. Hit off the bristles for fairway, rough, and sand. Use the tee on the right side of the bristle area for the driver. It works really well and the QED has large area to drop the ball.

The real cup (near the screen) is lined up with this putting position. Of course the putting distance is different than the game, but the sense of speed and roll out is very nice to have. Putting on this setup made the sim golf experience much better.

Thanks all, this is really helpful. Will, I like that setup with the holes. I take it that your hitting mat is Fiberbuilt but can I ask where you got that strip of turf with two holes in it?
