  • GoPro for swing cameras? Lighting? Long HDMI cable over USB repeater cable???

I know some of you are using the GoPro cameras. I could not find much information on here about them. Those who are using this setup are you using a micro HDMI cable with a usb adapter? Would this allow for a longer cable? USB cables can only be so long unless you have an active repeater cable which I have read mixed reviews on. I need to run about a 30ft cable to where the camera is going to make the install look clean.

Those who are using a GoPro, how much lighting is needed?

    Here is a Hero 7 example I did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmhjfjkbpo8
Keep in mind that is stand alone recording direct to the GoPro and a decent amount of light.

Just keep in mind if you are going to use with UNEEKOR they are going to max the FPS out and you wont get the full FPS the gopro can handle. I think they have no plans on changing that as they offer the Swing Optix Cameras so it would compete. I generally just use the Logitech Brio for that reason. I have that demonstrated in my latest Refine/Succeed video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUVOb2Cbi3I

Thanks for the reply! I have watched so many of your videos. Thanks for sharing all the technical information. The fps is definitely a deal breaker, the quality is just not there. Unfortunately I have the Optoma GT1090HDR which says it is not compatible with the Swing Optix Cameras. Is this the same for all cameras?

In regards to lighting... Do you know what specs makes some LED bulbs to have less flicker then others?

This is the spotlight for the hitting area I purchased:
Purchase the Silo X20 ACLED Beamshift Track Head by WAC Lighting today. Free shipping on most orders and guaranteed low prices at Lumens.com.

What about recessed lighting? Would sticking with traditional bulbs over LED be a safer choice when considering cameras?
