  • Uneekor Eye XO Initial Problems (misreads)

I realize this forum is for the QED, but figured I would see if anyone's seen this on their system.

I just upgraded from my Skytrak to an Eye XO. Installation went really smooth and I was up and running with no issues. The problems have started after playing some rounds and really swinging. We're getting a ton of misreads (semi reads, no reads, etc). Uneekor just sent me a new dll file with updated ball detection algorithm. What seems to be going on is mainly drives with all types of woods are not getting spin data. I've been told by the sim software company that this is a common issue and may require further calibration. Has anyone else dealt with this? I've recalibrating 3 times and its never had any issues, it always calibrates no problem. I've watched mutliple videos and a couple other videos from other YouTube people.

I'm waiting to hear back from Uneekor on the spin issues, but I hit my 3 wood 4 times on one hole and its really anoying when the only shot that reads is the not great one.

No read due to Spin (888 R222) which indicates no spin read

Welcome to the forum. XO and the QED share this forum so no problem there.

I only have the QED so I cannot be certain of the issue you’re having, but most commonly when problems are occurring mostly with specific clubs it is related to glare off a specific type of club or brightly colored tees that confuse the sensor.

The test for the former is to put some blue painters tape on top of your club to make sure that the sensor isn’t confused by the glare off the club. The test/cure for the latter is to buy dark colored tees and use those instead of white / bright colors.

the black / blue / green Birtees all work well for the Uneekor sensor.

the least common and hardest to fix issue involves new software files from Uneekor. Hopefully it’s one of the other issues you can solve yourself.

Thanks for the reply. I've used varying tee colors including black, white, and red. The light is pretty low in the room. I've actually already gotten an update from Uneekor to replace the ball algorithm. Just changed to a different mat I had a recalibrated. Worked fine for two holes then 3 no driver reads. A lot of clubs are black, but we've had the same issue with white fairway woods. The don't make a lot of other colors haha. Hopefully Uneekor support can figure it out.

Let me know what you find as I've got the exact same problem. Tried doing some preinstallation research so I had the correct tees, non-reflective clubs but still have a significant number of 888 222 spins (so much so that it's making my Mevo+ look pretty good. I'll post what happens when I finally get through to the team. I'll be looking forward to your solution.

So in case this helps anyone, technical support was a major help. I was sent an updated file for the eye sensor which helped significantly but then I had a technical support session which was even more helpful and solved all issues as far as I can tell.
