  • Eye Mini Lite- Putting problems?

Everything seems great so far except putting.
I will literally "Tap" a putt and on GSPro, the ball will fly off of the green. The putting seems so inconsistent, it makes putting with the game almost unplayable.

I don't believe it is something I'm doing as I'm decent at putting. It's pretty infuriating as it ruins any fun trying to figure out some putting mechanics that will make this playable.

Any advice? I use a putter with a white face, wondering if that's it?

I got mine this week and didn’t notice anything. The initial instant read caught me off guard coming from a skytrak but the distances seemed spot on. No white face on my putter. I’ll keep monitoring though.

Perhaps putting a dark colored tape on the putter face might answer that question.

When putting, you have to place the ball further back in the hitting area so that the ball has more time to traveling across the cameras. This will for sure eliminate those shots that take off like a rocket across the green.

I want to follow up on something Tancat is saying. I've been having the hardest time with my Eye Mini Lite and my Driver and Woods. The spin axis readings were all over the place, but I had some that approached absurd levels, like 50 degree banks, even though it felt like a square strike. It was both left and right spin and no consistency I could see. All my shot shapes were like a blooming morning glory flower. That shape was the only thing consistent. I'm not a strong ball-striker so I reply on a straight shot and could hit 70+% of my fairways. But this wasn't working. So in trying to think out what could be wrong, I thought 'Maybe it needs a longer look at the ball', so I moved the Eye Mini Lite about 6in forward toward to the screen, and dog-gone if that didn't tighten up that morning glory flower. It doesn't surprise me that it helps on putting too. My unit was the same, the putting was excessively fast. So teeing up further back from the cameras does seem to help overall.

Just a follow-up to the previous one. Today I was putting what should have been a pretty simple 10ft-er. So I do my normal 10ft tap and the ball just flew off the green and 10yrds into the rough. It didn't happen once, but over and over, and the whole tournament is shot due to +10 and +11 holes just from putting. I had the ball placed further back so that wasn't the issue. I looked at the Uneekor [Launch Club View] in the Uneekor connector and there were some odd-looking circles in the image. Immediately I knew what it was. A spider had walked across the lens leaving a spiderweb trail. So I took a micro-fiber cloth (Kirkland, super soft and great for lens) and cleaned both cameras. Sure enough, that fixed the issue! The Uneekor Club View images were like day and night in clarity. So that may be something else to check if you getting odd numbers and bad shots.

I will say it moves faster but seems to be the correct distance. My screen is 9' away, if I make a 9' sim putt it gets to the hole at 9' faster than my ball get to the screen at 9' but both are 9' putts.
