  • Is it me or is it the eye xo 2?

Is it the launch monitor or is it my lack of golfing ablilty.....seems every shot i hit now show super high right spin numbers and just slices out to the right....inside club path / square slightly closed face.....all slices to the right?....is it me?...is it a calibration issue?

You can't 100% trust the path & face readouts, but they're 'generally' close. With that said... it doesn't look like you're using the club stickers, which would mean you really can't trust the face & path numbers. In that case it's making a best guess... Are you using the stickers and I just can't see them?

Using the bottom left as an example, your face does not look 6 degrees closed to me, but it does look like you struck it on the heel side, which would add right spin.

To help know if it's you or the machine... can you make it produce left spin? Just take a short controlled backswing, close the club face more than normal, and exaggerate an in to out swing (it's probably easier to test this with an iron than a driver as it's easier to make it do what you want).

If that produces left spin... it should give you some confirmation that the spin and trajectory you're seeing now is just your current swing vs. an issue with the machine.

Lastly, if you're not using stickers, add them to at least one of your clubs when you're testing so you can trust the face and path numbers a bit more than you can without them.

no....i don't have the stickers on...i figured that wouldn't effect the ball spin numbers

Like myrison said, I would add the club stickers. My suggestion would be to put it on your driver and 6 iron. This will confirm club path and face angle. The ball data is more accurate than the club data, so I would believe that over what you are seeing with non-stickered clubs. You could always recalibrate the unit, but based on the pictures, it looks pretty good.

guess my question is...what could i be doing to cause that much right spin on all my shots?

It can only come from a combination of face and path angles. That’s why we are suggesting adding the stickers so we have a better idea if the spin is real or an error.

without a video or the stickers ultimately we are all just guessing. The spin numbers do not seem impossible for a left path with slightly open face.

Sidespin under 500 in either direction isn't bad at all.
