    PUBLISHED: Erin Hills Protee rsuslow

I am not done yet, but should be by the end of the week.

The course name will be: Erin Hills Protee 7100 Rsuslow

I need to play it with the simulator in the course designer, just to make sure it plays properly. I am just waiting for my key from Protee after my hard drive crashed.

Here is just a taste. If you see anything in the photos you think needs fixing, please let me know. I want to do this right, and the hardest part was the hills since I've never played there.

I made the difficulty level hard. Figured if it's for a U.S. Open style course it should be. But I doubt it will play as hard since the fescue around in the game can't match that of the real course.

I dont think setting it to easy, medium, or hard makes any difference. Isnt that just a label for players to see? or does it do something?

I never felt it did anything, but I set it anyway. I think it does when you auto generated greens and fairways, which I didn't. My hope is that it plays difficult with the hills, distance and bunker placement. After I play it in designer through the simulator I will have a better idea of how it plays. I'll give a better update then.

Looks great. Did you try putting in fescue? It would kill the Object Detail Limit.

I haven't added any yet. I was thinking about starting around the greens and then the expected landing areas (between 200 and 300 from the tee) until the detail level is about just over half on the status bar. Right now it's nothing as all that you see out there is auto generated. I plan on playing it tonight in the designer mode just to make sure the hills are not too hilly and the bunkers are not too deep.

Thanks, everyone! Hope to have it published by the end of the week. Then the powers that be can decide if it's worthy enough for tournament play.

Course is PUBLISHED! It is under New Erin Hills Protee 7145 Rsuslow

I had some issues and accidentally uploaded it through Steam and it didn't show. Enjoy!

Is someone able to change the name on this thread? I couldn't edit for some reason. Just want to change Unpublished to Published.

That looks sweet! Just curious, how do u design the slopes/hills if u have never been on property?

Thanks. Doing the hills was the toughest and most frustrating part. I used Google Earth on a lot of it and gave myself a base, like the clubhouse. Since I worked with a flat surface until the end I was able to drop and raise as needed. I also went to the US Open website and watched each holes video....so many times....to get an idea of where they were located.

Just played a quick round there. I didn't have a ton of time to mosey through it but I really enjoyed it, very nicely done. I'm amazed that you guys take the time to design these courses, really impressive. I ended up shooting a 73, course played really fair and the length is manageable for the most part, although I don't see many eagles being made. The par 5's are all pretty long and 18 is a bear at 600+. I really enjoyed the greens, no issues with wild slopes and undulations
I'll play it again in the next couple days and try and take some more time to take it all in.
I hope we see this one on the tour soon.
Congrats on a great design Rsuslow

Played the course on ps4 and was even over par with a controller in my hand! Definitely US Open like, good work!

PS: Do NOT hit short of the flag on 16!

Just as a side note. I plan on making two more versions at about 6800 and 6500 yards so everyone can enjoy it.
