Thanks for the 7500 yard version. That should keep me from going too far under par.

Was just checking out some Par 3's from the latest Design Contest by CrazyCanuck.

Here are the video of the top 15 or so I believe. I played a few and really thought they were nice .

one I enjoyed was Cwrs Golff Ymyl Y Mor (Yes, crazy name)

Also noticed that THeCLV (who did Magnolia) just released Merion . For me there is something special about playing real courses. He released a beta of it a few weeks ago which we are able to play now called - MerionBeta1. The released version we might have to wait until the next sync of courses. I don't know what he changed from the beta.

He mentioned that he is making a shorter Protee Version in his thread on the HB forums. The beta I mentioned above is about 6900 but there are a few really tough par 3's - 240+. I think this is kind of the signature of Merion to have some really tough par 3 's and then some short par 4's.

I will reach out to him and see.

Here is the thread at HB - he started this course a year ago with some pics.

Can't wait to try the ProTee version of this. It looks like he really spent time getting the details right.

I was able to get Merion course file from theClv24. He made a shorter protee version - this one is 6182 yards Par 70. I know he has published about 4 other versions in the steam version of the game Thurs - Sunday Pins with varying difficulty.

Its Called Merion East - Ardmore, PA (ProTee - Middle Tees)

I've been searching a lot of these on the Steam version and don't see many of the ProTee versions. Should all the ProTee courses show up on the Steam version or do some of them only show from a search of the ProTee version?

No.courses published with Protee version of design software will not show up on pc version. I publish new courses on Protee version so there is no waiting for Protee to mirror courses.

Got it. I am still waiting on my simulator and have been searching on the Steam version and found some ProTee courses but not as many as I expected. Now I know why. Guess the spreadsheet I started in preparation is already obsolete . Are there any lists anywhere of favorite ProTee courses or do most people go based on the rating? I assume the rating for the ProTee courses are only by people who are actually using the ProTee version.

BTW, I actually played Whistling Straits once about 7 years ago and parred the 18th whole (which was pretty incredible for a 16 handicap). I am salivating at the chance to play it on the simulator. Awesome work and thanks for all that you have done.

5 More reasons TGC simulator rules.................CSU golfer, one of the top ten designers in the game, just tossed me 5 of his courses for publishing. All 5 have been shortened to between 6200 and 6600 yards. His courses are pretty tough on console but, based on a few holes I played, these have been softened up a bit for us mortals. Lots of tough landing areas in serpentine fairways with well protected greens. Loa Pali and TGC Shawnee Creek are both top ten all time courses on TGC IMHO. Protee guys, you can fill a lot of tour slots with these courses.
Just published these on protee servers...enjoy:

TGC Logan Farms - Protee by CSU
Loa Pali Golf Resort - Protee by CSU
Challenge Club - Protee by CSU
TGC Stadium - Protee by CSU
TGC Shawnee Creek - Protee by CSU

                              Thanks Craig for uploading these

Awesome news Craig. His courses are incredibly scenic and I'm sure will look great on a projection screen. Any word on if he plans to update and send you The Legacy at Cape Point? Not sure how long his Member's Edition is but I'm guessing it would benefit from a few sim type tweaks. The pictures in the thread I linked remind me of some of the holes you did in Whistling Straits. 2.5 weeks and counting for me...
