  • New Course publishing this weekend

Hi everyone, after some good feedback on my last course Spirit Valley, I decided to make major changes to my latest course to make it Pro Tee friendly, I was way to far into the design to start from scratch and design specifically for pro tee, but I have spent the last two weeks altering it for you guys, here are some pics, I have made changes even to these but at least you get a taste of what it will look like, hopefully I should publish next weekend, thanks Nigel

It was going to be called Apache Falls but I've discovered there is a course with that name already so I will be changing it by next weekend, thanks Nigel

Wow, if that is what the simplified ProTee version looks like, I shudder to think how hard the regular course must play...

Awesome! Definitely looking forward to this one. Spirit valley may have been a little tough for some sim players but after trying a few of your other courses, can't wait to see what you do for a course designed more for our crowd.

To those that don't believe me give his Royal Auchtermuren course a go. Had a couple tough drives to start the back 9 (not unfair, just uphill a bunch to get over a mound) but that just added to the challenge. It played very fair and was a fantastic looking course, like your design style a lot. I actually shot +1 on it the first time I played it. Would love to see it on a tour event at some point, but I'll leave that up to the committee.

Let us know when you publish, I'll be playing it that day I'm sure

Expect to leave some white paint on those rocks when your golf ball plunks into them. That is a tight tee shot in the first picture.

I assume he was only illustrating a real life comparison to the course in the OP.

As I said guys I was too far into it to rip it apart completely, I've spent the last two weeks re doing all the fairways and altered 4 holes, the first looks narrow but the landing area has been widened you should be fine unless your thirty yards offline, my next course will be designed from the off for you, as ironstrokes has kindly said, all of my courses are fair and playable, not easy I grant you but no pinched in fairways, make sure it's the public version of Royal Auchtermuren or you'll have nightmares, thanks

Lochry Doon or Vale Meadows should be fine for Pro tee as well, I've never seen, used or owned a pro tee so I will be working in the dark any tips as to what's a Nono or what you'd like to see, which theme is lacking on pro tee and I'll do my best

That first pic is a risk reward hole either knock a 4 iron down onto the fairway on the left and wedge across the pond to the green or depending on the wind I've hit the green from the tee with a 3 wood to a 3 iron, but you have to go over the trees with water right and left if your about 30 yards off
