  • What to put under my turf

    Greetings!

My turf arrived this AM and I'm looking forward to laying it down this weekend and finally calling my sim build "finished".

Question - has anyone used any materials to place under their turf to create breaks? I was thinking sand but didn't know how that would hold up being walked over. I also didn't want to have to frame it all in to contain the sand. My ceilings are 9'6" to raising the overall hitting level up isn't desirable.
My area will be 15x19 so thought it would be cool to have a few holes I could practice putting on when not in full sim playing mode.

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.

Here's the thing about putting surfaces. You add all this break and it's terrible. Subtle is best. In my room I put that Dricore stuff so the putting turf would be the same hieght as the mat. I have only a little break but it rolls great.
