Watching this video raises questions for me as to if I'm doing myself a disservice taking lessons and training indoors on a Trackman 4. Up to this point I've used the Trackman numbers as gospel and shouldn't be challenged. I've been told it won't show a shot if it isn't sure of it and I've seen that in practice as on a TM3 5% of my shots don't register and less than that on a TM4. I recently bought a GCQuad and have barely used it to this point because I don't have a home setup yet as I'm looking to build something out. I have done some basic testing with the TM4 as a comparison but not nearly as extensive as this test.
I'm fine with slight differences as there are many assumptions these systems have to make but something as simple as ball flight should always be the same for two high end devices. In this video I see the TM4 showing a fade when the GCQuad shows a draw. That greatly concerns me as one of them is definitely wrong. I plan on doing more testing on the next couple weeks with a member on here that has a TM4. Anyone else have concerns with a TM4 for indoor use?
