    It's Coming together!!!

My build is coming together and I can't wait! Got my 12'x12' turf in this week and today my west coast netting came in it is 8'x11'. Also have 10inX30in CCE hitting strip on its way. I'll be running the skytrak with TGC. Plan to start this weekend building the frame for the screen. I believe I have a good plan for it.

Question I do have is. What distance should I have the hitting strip from the screen?

How much room do you have? How high are your ceilings? That will dictate how far from screen you can be. I would say most are in the 10' range with some higher and lower. Farther away you are the more chance you can miss the screen with higher lofted clubs.

At the end of the turf will be 13 feet from the screen. I have 10foot ceilings. I'm thinking I want it as close as I can to help limit bad shots from others playing. But didn't know if being to close is a problem or what

Are you planning on building a full cage or just a screen + top netting? I see from the frame the bottom piece is just the 3 way connector but at the top it looks like a 4 way connector.

Good eye on the connectors! So yea I don't plan on a full cage due to it's here at my car dealership/custom wood sign shop. (I know odd combination) The top is a 4 way for a low peak roof. Which is perfect cause it's a slight angle. I'm going to get the mesh tarp from harbor freight and build out the top frame and have it tight to it. Then on the sides plan on finding a heavy black cloth to put on a track that can be moved back and forth. For the floor I have a 12'x12' putting turf that I'm putting a 10inX36in CCE hitting mat in

FWIW, my ball position is 11' from my screen and it works great.

So I went down to my local flooring store and they where able to get me turf at a good price just 3.11 a foot and they had some left over rubber like carpet mat that makes it feel great. The brand is park central. So I was able to build a 12'x12' green/hitting mat with a CCE strip for less then what all the 5'x4' hitting mats cost
