Excessive rebounding off Spectrum Golf Supertex screen

Hi Guys, I'm hoping I can steal some insight on how to fix a simulator I just setup. The rebound off the screen is way too excessive to the point that it's almost not playable. You spend more time searching for balls than you do enjoying the sim.
I have the Supertex screen from spectrum golf and its attached to the frame with 3 straps on all sides. I feel like I've been loosening and loosening but seeing no improvement.
    What do you guys recommend?

Hi Bubba, I tried everything listed in that thread besides completely detaching the bottom of the screen from the frame and pulling it out forward. I just posted pictures of my setup on this post:

Please give me some feedback on the photos

        Why not detach the bottom?

I just completely detached the bottom and took the pvc out of the bottom and sides

the screen, blanket and back panel are only secured at the top of the frame. I still have PW and SW shots bouncing almost 8-9' off the screen on a fly

I have an emt tube frame with my screen, net and moving blankets attached along the top and at the bottom corners and on each side halfway up with tarp clips and bungees. there is just enough tension on the sides and bottom corners to pull the screen flat. you want it as loose as you can tolerate to eliminate bounce back. someone suggested taking the pvc pipe out of the sleeves and I agree with that. the screen needs to give when hit. the problem with the top of the screen is that you can only do so much to eliminate tension. if I hit a high lofted shot that hits near the top of the screen, the ball will bounce back. for me, if the ball hits near the top of the screen, it bounces up into my top netting and back towards me. currently I just try to catch it when it comes back at me. some people have installed baffles to knock the ball down. i'll probably look into doing baffles in the near future.

I agree w/ inorkuo regarding baffles. I bought my setup from all sports systems which included the black out panels like you have. They also included a "baffle" of the same material that I have hanging about a foot in from of the screen. When high lofted shots are hit and reflect up from the screen it will hit the top black panel then the baffle and drop straight down.

Low shots seem to have that acceptable bounce back but hire loft shots come straight back at me

Do you guys have a link to these baffles? Sounds like a great solution. My screen is so loose right now. I can't loosen it further.

all sports system's website doesn't really have good pics of it unfortunately. You could easily make these yourself too by going to any fabric store and finding a piece that is suitable to your tastes. Mine is the width of the enclosure by approx. 14-16". That 14-16" is then folded in half and attached to itself via Velcro. A metal wire is then run through that baffle and over the EMT so it basically hangs there. Hope that makes sense. I've seen some builds here that have multiple baffles too that are spaced out to catch any ball.
