PC Question for TGC

I have a Net Return Pro Setup with Skytrak.

Would this computer work ok to run TGC? http://www.microcenter.com/product/5...mputer_-_Black

Also what are the recommendations for an affordable short throw projector that will look good on the Net Return Pro screen? I believe the screen is 6' 2" by 8' 3"...Is it possible to fill the screen with those dimensions?

That laptop should do the trick tbh. Graphics card not to shabby. And it’s an i5 7th Gen. 👍🏻 Not a bad price either

Is there a better deal on a laptop with a 6GB GTX 1060? Looks pretty sweet but I'm not an expert on these.

That’s not a bad one either, it only has a SSD of 256 gb I believe tho. So not the most room.

I dont mind buying a computer from Costco.
But my experience, I would stick with a computer store per say just for the fact if anything happens they will fix it, or give you a new one, little more knowledgeable to what’s going on when things happen ya know?
Or a big box electronic store like BestBuy

Warrenty is a big thing, Bestbuy is great with that kind of stuff. Look into Costco and what they do return wise.

You can find the specs for TGC and what it takes to run. Then find a computer that matches those specs.
That first computer looks good tho.
What budget are you looking to have with this.
Are you in the US?

Yes sir, I'm in the states. Thanks for all the information. I liked the first one I posted , I just thought that the GTX 1060 MaxQ was worth the $200 upgrade over the GTX 1050 in that first one?

K well ya up to you.
Both will Run TGC without any issues.
One is 799 and one is 599.
Both are same processor series and same Ram.
799 has a little better graphics card with an extra 2GB of ram dedicated to it.
But the 599 one has a 1 TB hard drive which is more space, but the other has a fast 256 GB hard drive which is smaller.

So you think the $599 will run TGC with high settings? If that's the case I'll go for it. I was worried I would have to turn the settings down to run it properly. Sorry for the back and forth. I've really appreciated your insight! The harddrive didn't bother me much because this is going to be dedicated to just the simulator and tgc. I won't be using it for anything else.

I have same graphics card and it should run it fine on high settings.
If your only going to be running it for that. Hard drive isn’t that big of deal then

What I would do is just take that one pic of recommended settings for the TGC. When you go to get the laptop just show the guy. Make sure it’s as advertised and it will run it.
If it is a computer shop I doubt they would mind or even charge you if ya brought it in after ya got the TGC on it to make sure your settings were maximized for it. 👍🏻

I'd double check that notebook in stores, I've never seen a 1060 card for $799. My guess is that's misprint and it's a 1050
